Forget about the small stuff, redo the block then add SC. Our engines have the lest gain per dollar spent until you get your heads changed plus lower the compression for the SC that equals a new engine. It all depends on what you want to do but add up everything and you will see. Brand new SC $4500est on stock 96-98 block = 300hp < 4v $4000 est = 305. Looks like you are planning on spending alot of money so look at all your options.

horse power and torque mean nothing untill you can effectivly transfer it to the road....so first off you must get Maximum motorsports xl subframe connectors...drive shaft (performance driveshaft technologies)....a better suspension set up if you dont already have one, some nice wide tires on the back...like 275's or above. that will help a little.
only other things for horse power would be like Port and polish, nice heads....some good internals and run NOS.
P-51 intake manifold would give you some nice punch.
oh yeah and a nice diff, and electric water pump.
Power to weight ratio = quicker car ....so bolt on a nice light hood and dont forget the hood pins =) lol

Everything you do that did not come with your Saleen or it is not a Saleen part just lowers the value of you stang. If I were to mod your car I would try to get a hold of Saleen rep and ask how can you add more power and still keep it Saleen maybe make it a 351 and make it offical with them.

if you plan on selling your car than you can't do anymods to it unless its from saleen and even that could still hurt the stang since it didn't come with it from Saleen. If anyone plans on modding their car, it will hurt the value or add no value to it. that's a price we all have to pay and i don't mine paying it. My car is worth, before modding it, 19,000 bucks, but now that i modded it with the 5.4 and stuff, it's not worth that, but i really don't care. i plan on keeping it and if i want another one, i'll have 2 stangs.
If you don't beleive me about not adding or hurting value, take a nice stang with a nitrous bottle in the back or novi2000 sitting under the hood, to a dealership and see what they tell you. They wont give you crap for it.

Like i said, you pretty much posted them on what you have or going to buy, besides better heads. other than that, SC. If you want to spend mad cash, then get the 5.0 stroker kit, stroke it with forged internals, bigger cams, better heads, then run mad boost on it.

I'd say move that car and get yourself an 03-04 Cobra. Or buy a late model GT and build an all out race engine. Your going to need a ton of cash to get to 600/700HP. Frankly the Saleens do nothing for me. I'd take a built GT or Cobra over one of those show queens anyday. Don't waste your $$$ on devalueing your Say-queen.Just sell it to a collector (LOL)and get building your dream car. I hope this doesn't sound to hostile. Best of luck with whatever you choose.

The heads sit on the left and right side of the car. The intake is centered and the air from it flows to the heads, through the valves into the combustion chamber and then exits throught the exhaust valves into the headers and out the exhaust. the headers sit to the outside of your heads.

venom is correct in large part but the sale probably won't end up at auction where all that would matter. The sale will probably be a private party face to face deal. Mods still don't much help a cars value, most of the time they hurt it.
If you want to sell that car...ever, then don't mod it. It's wasting money in a big way. If you're going to get a hotter ride later, do so and keep what you have like you have it until then.
Venom: Nice video. Music timing was well played on. Couple of spelling errors you might not care about... most glaring was toward the end "... Ford should of made" should be "... Ford should have made"
