i was wondering if anybody had info on a decent web site that can sell a stroker kit for under 1200$ for a 4.6 2001 gt? also.....would i get more hp for the money with a port and polish or a stroker? i dont wanna go over 350 cubic inches.................... Thanx TRNIN :Whdatk:

 

dont worry about going over 350ci cause you cant. biggest i have seen is a 5.1 and its like 310ci i belive. anyhow dssracing.com has one and so do modmax i think it is has some also. your best bet is to search google for 4.6 stroker kits.

as for will it make more power with ported heads then the stroker, the stroker will make more power, but its alot more money. so its up to you. what mods do you have right now?

 

i have the slp loudmouth exhaust, c&l intake plenum, helix tb spacer, mac throttle bodymac cold air intake, and k&n air filter, and a uncatted x pipe on the way.......i have done nothing to the inside of the engine.......pretty basic stuff i know, but im looking for a noticable power gain with my next purchase, without supercharging or nitrous......its my daily driver so it must be reliable

 

you should get long tube headers, then gears and a tune. if your not happy with the power than, then i would do some engine work.

 

so i should basically just worry about all the bolt on simple application stuff befor i mess with the guts of the engine.?...do you have a tune on your car....just how much does it help......also ive got an auto matic trans...what gears should i use
