Default intake gasket

About 5 months ago i noticed my car was leaking a little radiator fluid. they said the gasket was crack and just sealed it up. This weeked my car was leaking a **** load of fluid. The ford house is charging me $400 to replace the gasket. I just dont know how much work it takes to replace them. Is this price right for gaskets that cost under $50.

has your intake ever been replaced, does it have the aluminum crossover on it? sounds more like your all plastic intake took a dump

i havent replaced the intake or anything like that. My dad says it was just the gasket, but i think its the whole intake manifold. If you look under the intake manifold you could see some fluid on the engine block. Is this something a professional should do or is it not that hard of a job?

yeah, your intake cracked somewhere along the coolant cross-over tube behind the alt, common problem and Ford had a recall on it, but thats over. if you want, we can help you a new improved design intake wth the aluminum crossover, kit runs @$350.00 + shipping.
