shifter gasket

Default shifter gasket

k guys, i just bought my steeda tri ax shifter from someone. will i need to order the gasket from here or will i be ok w/o it???

Either get the gasket from here or get silicon gasket maker. You cant install it without it or else you will get SERIOUS noise. Metal to metal contact on that scale isnt good.

Gasket is not nessesary...just pick up some high temp rtv gasket sealer for a couple bucks

Yes, thats the same thing as Gasket Maker, hence he is creating a gasket underneath the shifter where it bolts to the tranny.

k. thanx guys. anywhere i can get the gasket besides here. id rather not pay for shipping for something that doesnt cost 10 bucks.

hey shambles i couldnt get the gasket at the parts store. but i cant find a place on here for just the gasket. i bought the steeda tir ax for t5/t45 trans so i need that gasket. thanks.

i wasnt sure if that would work cuz it says its for the cobra driveline and those are six speeds. so i didnt know???

It will work fine. The bolting points are exactly the same.
