well to be honest my exhaust is what makes me grin when i hit the gas, but its not like your installing any kind of forced induction upgrade, its just a good way to better acceleration but if your not hitting the gas hard you probly wont notice anythign new seeing as it makes no sound or anything, unlike magnaflow magnapacks

I'd say your just feeling the TB/PL.

Do it Jack!!I felt a difference for sure when I installed mine.Alot better throttle response for sure.I installed the TB/PL before the gears and the tune and was very impressed with the difference it made.My car run's like a bat out of hell now

fug that, IMO don't spend 400 bucks on something youll barley feel..unless you have nothing else to spend your money on. save 400 more bucks and you can get a sweet nitrous setup

i got my whole Tb and plenum setup used for a total of $175 i think it was a ok deal for my price. If i spent 400 bucks for what i got i would be sad though. There is more power up top, but is it worth 400bucks. NO. go get used stuff.

it's not worth 400 bucks. F#ck it. Spray it. Use a 50 or 75 shot dry and you'll be happy as a clam. Be reasonable about when you use the spray and you'll have a long happy life under warranty. Remove the nitrous before you go in for warranty work.

I have the TB and ported my plenum. Definitely not worth the retail cost but I don't pay retail, so it was worth the 100 bucks and all my parts will transfer over to the 5.4 where they'll actually do some good.

I was thinking about adding a BBK TB/P, when I get the procharger. Is there any gain over accufab and BBK?

One thing I noticed when I did my plenum/TB mods was a much fatter bottom end. The peak numbers didn't move up much, maybe 7rwhp total. But from 2000RPM I think it picked up almost 15. Couple that with better throttle response and you've got a decent mod for the money. Some people call me crazy and maybe some of you guys can back me up on this, but I actually GAINED gas milage with mine. Not much, maybe 3mpg, but that's how the numbers worked out at the pump.

Jack, why not get a mid pipe instead? and if you have emissions issues get a catted mid pipe...well worth it! That would probably get your more bang for your buck. I had the C&L plenum and Accufab TB combo on my last GT and it wasn't worth it. I actually lost gas mileage, but I think it was because it leaned me out a little bit and I didn't get a proper tune.

ok, new story to tell that involves the gains from the tb/p combo. i have raced my friend in his rsx-s over n over since weve both had our cars. he now has everything possible to get before getting to internals or forced induction. first time i raced him with all his mods, i had only an intake and exhaust, and lost by more then 3 cars. today we raced again since i got the tb/p combo by accufab and the underdrive pullies. he still beat me, but by 1 car, and i was still gaining on him before we had to slow down. he even had made a comment to me of how much faster my car is now and even though i lost both times i raced him i was thrilled with how much i gained outta these things. so my point is yea id def. reccomend the Accufab tb/p combo, 70mm
