Default Auto with gears

some one told me that cuz i got an auto that gears changes are gonna be diff. like a 3.73 is going to act like a 4.10 is this true?
also i love doing 135 in my car it lets me beat those 300 horse lexus an audis that i find on the park way.
i guess im looking for a ratio that will put me off the line faster but still let me do 130 at 4,000 rpms in overdrive. i still wanna be able to pass 100mph and not be killing my gas at 70mph.
whats the best gear size for me?? thanks :jerk:

gotta make a choice...can't launch like a banshee and go 130mph...especially with a 200whp car. 3.73 is probably as steep as you would want to go if you like the triple digits.

Ditto.

Listen to Adam.

To clarify, on an auto, you generally want to step up one gear when compared to a manual.

Oh, and another thing, don't rive to fast.

Like ModMotoRacer said, U cant have it all. Especially with a Auto. Change to 4.10s, and get a T56 6 speed out of a Viper with the .50 overdrive 6th gear and convert it to mustang duty, Thats probably the only way you can have it all. a .50 overdrive would give you great miliage even with 4.56s

If you love doing 135 im sure you not that worried about gas miliage, that first ticket at that speed will really kill your Gas money in your pocket. I had a $480 ticket once for a over unsafe speed over 100mph. A Nitrouse'd forumula 350 that i have ran to 155mph, No way would i run a mustang at that speed and feel safe sad to say.

why have the Stizzy if your not gonna make people go "DAMMMNNNN no way can i catch that!!!" or "Oh my god hes coming up fast, hurry hunny get in the other lane" i feel alot safer doing 135 in my 96 gt then i did doing 130 in my 89 camaro RS with the little 2.8L and stock 89 supsension which was virtully non existant. but ahh mabye im just speed crazy. mabye instead of swaping up a gear ill go down to like a 2.11 and start running 200mph. yeah that would be nice. right up untill my first and last crash ever.

Don't fear the gear man! Get you some 4.10's and a stall and be done with it! :icon_thum
