Default Mufflers

I currently have an O/R X that i just installed. i already had SLP Loudmouth 1 and i think it is too loud (so do my neighbors). i think i am going to stick with the O/R X and just change mufflers and leave the SLP piping. i thought i would go with either a Flowmaster or Magnaflow muffler. any suggestions either way? or go with different mid pipe?

i just dont like the way it sounds around 2500 and how it pops and cracks when it gets higher, almost like a ricer. i wouldnt mind it if it was a race car but it is a dialy driver. i just dont want that sound and i know that flowmaster will sound good and i am curious to hear a magnaflow or borla. anyone elses opinion would be greatly appreciated.

well if you want a higher pitched not a deep sound the borla, bassani, and magnaflow are the way to go. flow's, flowpath, are the deep sounding mufflers.

I have a Mac O/R X with Hooker Aero Chamber Mufflers. I love them and I get people asking me all the time what setup I have.

BTW....I just happen to have a video right here:

I have a similar setup also (SLP o/r x, SLP LM 1). It does get kinda annoying at 2500. Instead of switching to magnaflows or flowmasters, why not switch to the LM 2 mufflers? I've thought about doing that and just wonder what kinda difference in sound it would make. Heads turn and have gotten many compliments on mine as it is but that spot at 2500 gets to ya sometimes.

I have Flowmasters on my and I love it!! Sounds like an old muscle car, not some ricer!!!!! Flowmasters only sound better with time!!!! I plan on getting an SLP X Pipe with no cats so its only going to get louder!!!!! Sick of these camaros sounding louder then my car and they only have V6's!!!!!! LOL....Loud but no Speed!!!! There were a couple of Chevys running 16's at the track and they thought they were fast!!!! LMFAO!!!!

Youll want to go with a chambered muffler to reduce the sound output from your mufflers.

I've heard of some camaros louder than my car but they sounded like crap, to the point they should go back to an stock exhuast but never heard a V6 craparo louder than mine. The prochambers are quiet with a low rumble. Me, an H pipe, no cat and flowmasters sound good, but now i think alot of people use flowmasters. I was told to go with spintech mufflers, due to being loud, and i'm going to try them out.

I say go with borla cuz i have them

Stock on Saleens and they sound awesome with an o/r x pipe and resonator tips. And they sound cleaner and great when revving...none of that metal clanging sound you get from other mufflers. Borla has better performance gains too.

sorry to get back to everyone so late but i installed a magnaflow catback 2 days ago and i love it. its not quite as loud as i would have liked it but it cleaned it up alot. it sounds good and its not annoying at 2500 anymore. i also hope to see some torque coming back after using an actual muffler.
