It wont hurt anything except for your ears!!!!! I've unbolted at the track before on a 91 turbo charged GT i had. you'll definitly get pulled over by the cops though.

Its been close to a year since i cut off the factory exhaust... Sounds decent but it vibrates the hell out of your change in the cup holders and hurts your ears if your not use to it... When it was first taken off it was much louder for some reason, after a couple months it kinda mellowed out then it would vary from loud to decent... Always figured it had something to do with the cats...

Man you've been driving a year like that!! Neighbors must love you!!! I'd worry about the carpet catching fire. Does it get hot near the exhaust exit inside the car on the floor?? I remember driving to the muffler shop with open full length headers and the stares at the stop lights from everyone!! Loved it!!!

I guess the Cat quiet it down a bit though. I'd get some side exit pipes or something though. It isnt good breathing the fumes. They will come up through the floor.

PS, welcome to the forums

You are killing your low end torque. You need to produce some backpressure which without mufflers/cats your not.

Yeah, i'll be ordering the SLP's here in about a month or so... I can tell I'm missing the bottom end. When you take off slow it will kinda lag till u hit about 2grand then it will pick up real quick. It has been a while since the change but I'm pretty sure it likes to rev quicker on the top end though... Probably loseing HP throughout the whole ordeal.

He said factory H-pipe, so it wont really be to loud. and it wont lose backpressure becuase it still has the cats.
