Default Noises from front and rear of car

Hello,

I bought this car used so I don't know the history. I have the 03 GT and when I go over bumps and stuff I hear creaking noises from up front. Sounds like it needs to be lubed or something. It also happens when I turn the steering wheel, I get the same noises!!! Can someone guide me in the right direction??? Thanks

Bragg

dirt in the spring cups, old dry rubber bushings and salty winter roads, rotted steering rack bushings (my #1 pick for your case).

I don't know if you live in a snow state but salty roads can help to dry out bushings and start rust. Usually it's just the natural mustang creak. A combination of all the stuff up at the top. My 01 squeaked like a ***** after I lowered it, my 03 squeaked from day 1 until I put the MM coil over kit and arms on (aluminum and delrin bushings... no squeaky... very harsh).

Try a little grease on the bushings, and cleaning out the spring cups and grease on the spring isolators. Also check your outer tie rod ends and ball joints for slop. Grab the tie rod end and jerk on it a little. If you feel it move inside the mount other than pivoting it's mooey bad and needy replacey. Check the ball joint by jacking up the car and jerking the top and bottom of the tire in opposite directions... if the ball joint is bad you should be able to feel a distinct clunking. The last bit is all precautionary but you should examine it once in a while if you drive hard.

FYi... there's another thread somewhere here about this same basic thing. Turns out there's a known issue with the steering rack so that'd be the first place to look and one of the other seniors popped in some useful pics.

if I can find the thread (was active as late as today), I'll put a link in for you.

Here it is. I'm started to get really ****ing pissed off at all the the little rattles and squeaks my car makes, so far I've got the strange steering squeak, rear suspension groan, and my brakes squeal even though they have plenty of pad left. Not to mention I have a faint rattle from somewhere inside the car as well as a 1st and 4th gear transmission whine.

So basically my car makes a lotta annoying noises. The only solution is for me to get an O/R H pipe and LM1's
