Default MGW shifter VS PRO 5.0, Steeda, Hurst

I am looking in the market for a short throw shifter and from what i have gathered MGW is by far the favorite. Any objections? How hard is it to install this shifter, I ask because I think i am capable but if it is real precise stuff i leave it to a pro. Any input is much appreicated.

All the tools I needed was an 8mm, 10mm, and 13mm wrench. It comes with the sealent and allen wrench. I'd give it 2 out of 10 stars when grading its difficulty of install. 1 being a CAI and 10 being like a s/c install or something really tough

I've never installed one, but watched my installer/tuner do one. Yea, he was done in 20 min.

Yeah, me and a friend took an hour, but if we had to do it again, I'd say 30 minutes tops. Take your time with it, but once you're done, you'll see it wasn't hard at all.

It's one of those things that once you did it once, you can do it again in half the time.

5 out of 5. I've seen people go from "short shifter XYZ" to MGW, but have yet to read about anyone goin from MGW to somethin else.

if you know some other people with aftermarket shifters that you could check out i think it would help you make your decision. anything is going to be better than the stock piece of crap.

Just go to www.modularpowerhouse.com and go to the forums and do a forum search for "MGW" or search for threads with MW in the name and you'll see a buncha peoples' opinion and there is not 1 negative thing said about it

MGW for the win!

Installed mine a couple weeks ago and each day it seems to get smoother!

Go with MGW, I just put it in my stang and its the best shifter i have ever used. I used to have the tri ax and this one is better. My friend has the 5.0 and he even likes mine better. Trust me, you will love the MGW shifter.
