so, i'm installing my steeda ud pullies...HOW THE F*** do i get the stupid alternator pulley off??:wallbash: I've got the impact wrench set at 230 ft/lbs. and still NOTHING!! i've even gone through a can of liquid wrench. been goin at it for an hour or so now.. ANY HELP??:wallbash:

Take off the alternator and take it to a garage. Thats the eaisest way to do it. .

i took mine off with hand tools. is the belt still on the car? if not then put it back on and try it. or get a pair of c clamps to hold the pulley on place.

if i take the alternator off, i have nothing to drive it to the shop in, yes the belt is still on there...:censored: this isn't supposed to be that hard...i think the nut has rusted to the bolt. they have become one. maybe its time for a new alternator.

You probably done rounded it off. Try a 6 point impact socket.

i've been using the 6pt socket, and it isn't rounded off at all.

and no, i have yet to get it...so i put on the SLP cat-back. least something was easy

it should be a simple matter of the belt on and a impact gun will take it off.

No you use the stock belt, just like you asked in the other thread.
