So I took the wing off my mustang yesterday and it looks sick without it SO i want to get the holes filled in and painted. Went to my local shop where they do really good work

the guy said its going to be between 500-700$ to fill them in because he has to paint the rear fenders and whole trunk lid to get the paint to match perfectly

what do u guys think about this im not doing it if it cost that much so i might just leave the holes there because it looks realy good

i cant upload pics on the comp but if u want them email me at dirtbike974@aol.com with ur cell number and ill send them to u

500-600 dollars....That must be one of the best damn painters around then. I would have to say that guy noticed you were a kid and is trying to make an extra buck.

Not everything needs repainted a good painter can match anything. There are paint mixers that match exactly. Then they can buff out the car for everything to match.

Thats all a body shop is normally gonna do. For real a painter can just paint where the holes are if there even halfway decent.

Tell them you don't want the fenders, etc. colormatched.

Remove the decklid, take it to them that way , tell them the paint code, and ask how much.

Filling the holes alone is around a $200 job. Painting the lid (including prep) should be 2-300.

Why dont you drive around until you find a v6 person with the same color and ask them if they want a spoiler. Just swap it in the parking lot right there.

Just buy the paint and epoxy type primer and the shop will prolly do it for around 100-125. My uncle is a painter so he's tought me a little about this stuff.
