Default '06 Shelby

Well, I've been gone for 7 months now, spending my down time in my Lexus (snore!). I just got back from the Ford Dealer that I have been doing business with for 20 years. He tells me he has 1 Shelby (and hopefully 2) on the way later this year. I really like this car; it embodies everything I ever wanted in a Mustang - 475 horsepower! I hate paying sticker for a car, though. What do you guys think?
This would be my 5th Mustang to date. I really miss my '03 and want another!

Hell if you can get it for sticker that's alot better than most people will be paying.

If I could buy one for sticker, I would be putting a deposit on one right now.

We had an 06 z06 in black at work. Sticker was 63,000 and we had an offer for 83,000 and we didnt sell it. Its gone now and I dont know for how much they sold it for.

I did get to drive a blue one though.

In all reality, that z06 with 25 more HP is gonna eat the cobra in all aspects of racing. I hate to say it, but its true...

You will be paying more than sticker and if he says that you wont then you better leave a deposit right now.

Like I said, I've dealt with these people for a long time, and they have never lied to me (yet). If the dollar demand will be what you guys think it'll be, there is no way I could (or would) compete with those over-sticker dollars. I think a phone call to the dealership probing a little further is in order.....

yeah i don't think after you put the other 45 grand into the car...Vettes are nice, if your 50 and don't wana mod your car...for god sakes they come in Auto...

I'm sure with some simple mods and 10 grand, that cobra will beat most cars on the road...

Pay sticker. You will thank yourself when you hear what everyone else is paying. Mostly im hearing its going to be at least 15k over sticker.

z06s dont come in auto. Manual is the only way unless you pay for a swap.
that cobra will already beat almost everything on the road, and when you add a supercharger pulley or do a kb 2.4 swap with a pully, you will take everything on the road, including the new z06.

Unless your going to the track.. wtf is the point? - why buy a 50k shleby or 70k vette... when you can spend 15,000-20,000 and stompe them all with a mustang... the new z06 is hitin the the 1/4 in 12.2 - a stock block procharged GT will destroy that! Hell an enzo runs 11.1, and when i get my motor forged in the fall Ill be stompin his a$$ to.

(if its speed you want - obiviously those cars have other advantages)

yeah i was talking about Corvettes in general...

Lets all remember vettes are two seaters, the SHelby will be 4...and it's bigger, and your talking about taking a 25 hp difference, when you spend the few grand to make the suspension up to date, and take it for a diet...that and a new Saleen S/C...that thing will ROMP!
