Default Sohc, Dohc

Two valve's are Sohc, and four valve's are Dohc. Just wondering what the GT's with 3 valve's are?

Nope.

My wife's car has a SOHC, but 4 valves/cylinder.

All how they engineer it.

The number of cams determine it...1 overhead for sohc and 2 for dohc..valves dont make a difference

thats not what he was asking...he was asking if the number of valves had any effect on the number of cams in the motor..like a 4v SOHC or a 2v DOHC

DOHC = Dual OverHead Cams
SOHC = Single OverHead Cam
