noO!ONOn deffinately don't get a jammer!! (They also sell jammers)... because the radar on the cop's gun is gonna read "09999999.99" or however much it'll take on the screen, give off a alert, and the cop's going to look and see a nice... black, polished Mustang GT with the 18 Bullits and the ram air... and then you're screwed, because who else would have a jammer?

I mean.. us Six-Guns don't even get a second look unless we're going over 110, it would suck to be a GT in that situation..

Jammers depends on which one you get. Personally if I were to get a jammer if I was really desperate I would get the one that makes your car invisible. Some do make guns go haywire and cant get a correct read on your speed. But you shouldnt have to resort to a jammer....

Its not worth getting busted for....Do you really need to speed by cops and not get busted.......because think about it your goin 70 in a 55....and they cant get a lock on you..... they are going to know something is up.

If they dont know your exact speed but know you were speeding you can get some weird ticket like "imprudent speeding" or something like that. I got one when I chased down that assshole who threw something at my car.

They can pull you over for the dumbest reason. I got pulled over cuz he thought my seat belt wasnt on. In actuality he wanted to see whhat i've sone to my car. He was in a black mach 1 undercover mustang so we bull****ted for about 10min.

I made it from Tolland, CT to Murray, KY in 14.7 hours, roughly 1,100 miles.... do the math and ask me if my Cobra was working

From Orlando,Fl to Boone N.C. its almost 1000 miles about 986 i think it is. anyhow around 12 hours is what it normaly takes me. The V1 is worth it just for th extra 2-3 hours it cuts off my time sitting in the car which sucks.

No way in hell it's 900 from Tally to MD, NC...u gotta be ishtin me from Orlando thats maybe 700 if your lucky...but yeah in this county all cops use Lazers.

Milos: 6 bangers get caught all the time...Me for example got pulled over doing 45 in a 35 (which the cop said was 30) without a radar...he said he pulled up behind me, and even saw another white truck speed away from me...in reality, He saw a DSG mustang with Rims driving 5 over the speed limit and tailed me. Then saw an out of state license and decided TICKET TIME!...****er didn't even tell me I coulda taken the driving class online...didn't even write down how much the ticket was...seriously idk what it is but cops Love giving me tickets, I've never talked my way out, one got lucky once with an Officer down call while I got pulled over...now with my exhaust I see tickets as a tax for driving a nice looking car. Honestly, I think theres alota jealousy involved...atleast in Tally one of the SGT's drives a 99' Cobra...

no I know, no one is immune from the 5-0, I was just trying to make a light jab at the GT boys.

Cops really are ********.. I remember one time I was coming down a backroad doing maybe 5 over, and a cop passes me and does this hairpin U-Turn, then comes right up on my *** and flashes his lights, lightbar and everything to pull me over, and so I slow down to pull off to the side, and he gets up right behind me before pulling around and passing me.. and then turns off all his lights and just goes back to driving normally... I called the barracks and complained but they said they didn't know who it was. :dots:

CT State Police have dark blue and brown Crown Vics... this one was silver, and the troop only has three silver crown vics... so I would think that they would keep a log with who took out what that night, and no I didn't get the number.

people kill me on this subject, ya, spend $400 for a radar detector if you havent anything to do better with your money or ya can go to Sams and get a Traveller II for $90 that works absolutely awesome. After reading all about all of them on radar roy's site I tried this one on a 700 mile trip during Thanksgiving and it was great, didnt miss none of the 30 cops I passed.

The only site for Radar information...

From Dayton, OH to Raleigh, NC is exactly 610 miles for whoever was talking about distances.

I don't really have any crazy cop stories, but all I can say is YES, driving a Mustang will ABSOLUTELY make you a target. If you get pulled over with a radar detector, you're going to have an almost impossible chance of getting out of it.

I was reading on some site just now... for all the people that live in Ohio (including myself), "Ohio is heaviest user of police laser (LIDAR) in the US"

so be safe!

yeah having a mustang makes you a deffinat target. when i had my f150 i didnt get as many hits as i do with my mustang even though ym truck was louder and looked way more crazy.

But the good part is we have power so "if you can run it, gun it."

I've had a radar detector (Sensoro Silver Bullet... it was a gift) for just over a year. It's saved me a ticket exactly 3 times. All 3 were California Highway Patrol sitting in a trap (KA band is detecable from hella far away). The rest of the time it's just notification that I've already been caught with Instant On. I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in a long time because no matter how fast I'm going I'm always conscious enough to try not to stand out.

That's the secret to not getting a ticket. Just don't stand out, don't get noticed. I drive a really loud mustang and it's enough of an attention getter just off the sound, so I tip my hat to the local constabulary politely and don't do anything that they could single me out for.

noone out here really uses laser so it's never been a concern to me.

one of my senior photos for the yearbook is me sitting on the edge of my door with the connecticut state barracks sign behind me.... but other than that I dont really have a problem with cops.

The one time I got a ticket is when I wrecked the family SUV... the story was i was on a downhill in a 30mph zone going 15, hit a patch of ice on a turn and kept on sliding directly across the road, straight. Nobody else was on the road, and the only damage was to my car. I called the cop there, I called the cop there, I CALLED the ****ing cop there... and he gave me a ticket for going to fast for road conditions... :bash:
