Default Radio Bezel rattle???

Does anyone have any tricks to keep the bezel that surrounds the radio head unit and heater vents from rattling? It seems to rattle on most at 60+mph.

Mine seems to rattle on top of the bezel by the heater/AC vents. I probably could take it off and put something in there so it doesn't have any play, which won't allow it to move around, but I'm curious to see if anyone else has this problem and how they fixed it.

I hear ya....this is the 4th mustang I've owned and it's been a problem on all of them, but I'm trying to fix it cause it's just damn annoying! I read a thread on this same thing a few minutes ago on another site and one guy suggested 1/4 foam window stripping (Home Depot or Lowes) and 3M Molding tape. Maybe I'll give that a try so I don't have to live with it anymore.

i've never had the problem but yeah i would suggest the foam weather stripping. 3m tape would work but it would be overkill.

No rattle here...maybe you have a rat in there! better check it out,,lol actually take the trim off, the little metal clips on the back side..take some needlenose pliers and pry them out alittle it should tighten it up..if not take some 3m double sided tape..that will definately do it....

Mine starded to rattle after I reinstalled it when I painted my interior pieces. I got a role of 3m tape like stated above, lined both sides with it and have'nt had a rattle sence.

or just stupid? ever drive from los angeles to vegas? doubt it... theres jack **** out there, its basically a **** load of desert, 2 lanes, a biiiiiiigggg *** island, 2 more lanes, then desert... the lanes go straight for a looong *** time. roads are fairly smooth, no bumps. the cars wheel doesnt even twitch. thats no more dangerous then doin 75 in a straight line. now.. if 75 in a straight line is dangerous, and anyone from l.a. knows 75 is slow for the freeways around here, even with traffic.... id say that doin 75 in traffic is more dangerous then doin 110 in the middle of BFE on straight roads.

and yeah, to the other guy... 110+ w/ my mom. iv been in the car while shes driving 110. i guess its genetic?

On sunday I went over to Home Depot and got some 1/4 inch door & window high density foam tape and took the bezel off and put as much as that stuff as I could fit in there and no more problem....I've driven it all week on the freeway and not a single noise has come from the radio bezel or shift bezel. If anyone else is having this problem it's an easy $3 dollar fix and it will be a hell of a lot better than taking it to the dealership and leaving it all day
