Could be that the piece of thin metal or aluminum around the brake assembly is bent, I've heard of a few people that had that...as for the squeak, I get the same thing when going over small bumbs I;m thingking it has something to do with my springs or isolators cause it happened right after I replaced them.

is it creaking? Me, mattj, and another guy have/had the same problem. I got mine covered under warranty and even though I didnt pay, the whole repair itself only costed about a hundred bucks.

does it happen only when you turn the wheel in one direction or both directions? i hit this something in california with my right wheel and now when i make left turns it sounds like wet fingers going across a window.

creak is something like tie rods or somewhere in your steering.
grind is something hitting your wheels or brakes, or possibly a bad hub(s)

and sometimes when my AC is on and i go over bumps...crackling sound...

This is the invoice for when i took my car in to get my steering problem looked at. Problem is..it displays the cost for fixing the brakes, but not the steering wheel...atleast I don't think so...

My car did that when I was actually test driving it. It sounded like a loud humming noise coming from my engine, and I heard it whenever I would break and turn my wheel. The guy poured some power steering fluid in it and it stopped, and it hasn't done it since.

Mine did that... they did the "fix" of lubing/tightening the bushings and 3000 miles later it was back.

Took it in again and got the whole steering rack replaced.
