Default speeding ticket

So I was driving back up to school early yesterday morning when a NY state trooper got me for speeding. 89 in a 65. I am going to plead not guilty with the hope thats since its my first offense and I was late for work and the highway was empty that I might get a reduction because I really don't need those points and an increase in insurance. When it asks me if i want a supporting desposition what do you guys recommend? I know it makes more work for the trooper and can make them angry but I've also heard if they don't fill one out after I've requested it that the ticket can get dropped.

You got caught speeding, so face the consequences. However... its your first offence and you could probably get it dropped to deffective speedometer which will not cause your insurance rate to go up.

my 1st ticket was an 86 in a 55. judge told me the absolute best and i mean the absolute best he could do was say it was a medical emergency and drop it down to 64 in a 55 which is $50 and 3 points. he told me that even if his own mother had gotten that ticket that she would recieve that very same treatment. he only did this because my father knows all of the local county and state police so i got lucky.

Being late for work and highway being empty is a very poor excuse. This will make the judge see how wreckless you are so dont use those.

Pay the ticket and take a 4 hour traffic school to get the points nullified.

I got a 73 in a 55 a little while back, went to court ready to pay the fine and it turned out the new Judge was my mom's old Lawyer from a big car wreck she was in so he cleared my ticket and told me to take a Driver Improvement Class within the next year.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that since its your first offense they might let you go with a warning or a class. It all depends on how the Judge feels. Say if your court date is late in the afternoon like 4, the judges are usually groggy and ready to go home so they try to rush things and that means he will give you the charge and hurry you out of there. Don't worry though, they might show pity on you.

good news that will make sure you dont get any points... GUARENTEED!!! just send me $200- nah just playin'. but seriously this works.. pay the ticket, you cant say not guilty, for being irresponsible, no traffic, because then that would go against our whole judicial system. its like, " not guilty! i killed him, but he deserved it!" sorry, back on track, when you pay the ticket, mail it in, and make sure you use a check, heres the trick.... make the check amount for $2-$3 over the amount of the ticket. ok. the will send you a refund check for the amount you over paid. DONT EVER CASH IT. its all done by computer, and as long as you dont cash that check, it never shows as a completed transaction. the check will probaly even have a expiration date on it. rip it up as soon as you get it. it will be on your record, but you will never see those points... dont tell anybody i told you that. my dad would probably get get some "heat" for it.. i have 3 tickets and zero points.
