shift points for stock autos

Default shift points for stock autos

what do the newer auto GT's shift at, i was just at the trackw ith a freinds stock 03 auto in D it shifted at 4,500rpms which sucked dick thats way out of the powerband so he had to manualy shift it.

just wondering.

Stock my 01 would shift at 5800 rpm if you held it on the floor.

Shift points are determined by throttle position (or should be).

maybe the wheels were spinning and caused it to shift sooner. mine shifts close to redline. its all electronically controlled, maybe the carpet is keeping the gas pedal from going down all the way. this has happened to me after my car got out of the body shop.

no spinning just shifting at 4,500 in every gear. hes bringing back over to me today so i can road test it and see what i can do.

My 99 will shift around 5600 with my foot in it!

Without the right software you won't be able to do much. Has his car always done this? If its shifting at 4500 at WOT that means its getting commanded to shift at around 3900/and or a very low MPH. What about gears? Has it had a gear swap and not been tuned for them? Most of the time they will ride the limiter, not shift way too early. Lemme know what you find out, I have written about 100 tunes to get my 98's shift points right (they are finally)99-newers are a snap

i got the software, and he his car is bone stock. just needed to know the stock shift points.

My car shifts whenever I fell it should be shifted.
