Default going back and forth between 2010 and 2009 mustang, help would be appreciated!

Hi Everyone,
My head gasket went in my 03 altima the other day. I put a ton of miles on my vehicle 220,530 miles to be exact lol. Anyways, Obviously I'm not going to put 1800 of work in to this car. So for the first time I'm not going to do the "smart" choice such as a nissan or a honda. I'm going for a car that for lack of a better word is "hot" and something that I feel I will really enjoy. I'm not very educated on mustangs. So I have been scouring the board for any info or opinions from others. So here is my question...

I was looking at 2010 mustangs with mileage under 30,000 being sold from reputable dealers. Today I came across a 2009 V6 convertible with 30,000 miles. I've actually been talking to the fleet manager all day via email and he basically told me "look I would probably except under 15,000, I want it gone". The price in a matter of 10 hours went down two grand. It seems like a good deal via kbb website. Does that sound like a decent deal to all of you? Secondly, do you all prefer the 2010 model or the 2009? I think I like the hood and interior better in the 2010 but prefer the back of the 2009. Any opinions would be great. Also, any problems surfacing with the 2009? Thanks for any opinions or info!

prefer: 10.... looks way better. Look around on autotrader or something like that for similar models if you want to see what kind of "deal" he is giving you

Yeah I checked through 5 different sites including auto trader... It seems like a very good deal. I still kind of prefer the 2010 though

The 2010 model is going to have a better interior and a better looking exterior in my opinion. The 2009 will most likely be cheaper, have more miles, but have the older 2005-2009 body style and interior, which I don't care for. The engines will be the same. The 2011 cars have the new, updated engines. Your probably going to get a good deal on the 2010 becuase not many people what them with the 2011 cars on the lots.

I think it all comes down to what you like and can afford. Both cars are very similar and both have the same driveline. I like the interior and the "dovetail rear" on the 10's.
I think it grows on people after awhile.

Good Luck and hope everything works out for you.

Id say 2010, and honestly before you buy a v6 convertible, id buy a gt coupe, or even a v6 coupe. I really dont like convertibles, they are louder, heavier, more expensive, more money and maintenance. And they are only nice a few days of the year. Best choice would be 09-10 GT

'05-10 GT. or a '11 V6.

If you're wanting a V6 spend the extra coin for the '11. Not only do you get more HP, but significantly better gas mileage rated at 31mpg, but with the potential of getting much better at 40+mpg.
