Well was driving to a family members last night about 9PM and I was stopped at a stoplight. I was the only car on the road, light turned green i started to drive, crossed a railroad track and next thing i know bam the rear driver side window blew up and a loud bang. So I have an outline of the deers head in my window from the spider cracks and then a body slam type dent on the driver side rear quarter panel. Scared the hell out of me and I'm very thankful that I'm ok since I was driving with my windows down if I were just a second slower that things head would have went in through the front window and slammed me in the head.

you can see the nose at the lower left corner and then the ear at the top right... I found a chunk of the ear this morning in the rear seats. Can't see the dent from that angle but its definitely minimal damage considering a deer ran into me. Could have been way worse so I'm pretty happy about how it turned out

WTF god damn stupid deer, it sucks its around the holidays too.

 

That looks a lot less than I expected to see, thank god! That happened to my mom back when she had a van and it messed up the door enough it wouldnt stay on. Glad everyone is ok, a deer going through a window is my biggest fear with these cars

 

Did you keep the deer?

I once hit an elk in an Audi 5000. 6 ft of antler through the windshield. Missed all 4 people in the car. Now I just never worry about it. There's obviously destiny I have yet to fulfill so FSM won't let me die till it's time.

Yeah, got the quote today and the deer did $1000 worth of damage in parts and labor. My deductible is $50 so definitely didn't hurt me at all
