Default Am I wrong?

So, my best friend got married tonight (well, sat technically now.) We had the bar etc...it was paid drinks however.

Our friens g/fs were sitting there..no one was really dancing..and I was going around trying to get people to dance (by this time I'm buzzing)

My friends know me..if I'm buzzing, I'm out to have a good time, my fiance is there.. everything is in good fun.

Well, a friend of mine..is a bitch, basically. And over reacts a bit much esp when he drinks. Well he didn't drink tonight but..he ended up acting like a bitch, not dancing, not really participating, etc.

So I go up, and I'm like "you drinking" he says no. Fine. I was like "your girl drinking" he says yes. Well, I decide to be friendly..and I was like "i'll buy your next drink just find me and I got it." whatever. I bought quite a few people drinks.. no big deal.

So..I'm ****** off, dancing with girls, whatever, my fiance doesn't care, she knows who I'm going home with.. and I have no interest in any of these girls, I'm just out to have a good time.

My best friend (dude that got married) pulls me aside and someones asshurt about what I'm doing.

Wtf? I can't have a good time and instead you gotta go run and run your mouth dude, you can't approach me like a man and say "hey dude, thats not cool stop please"

It isn't like I was being..disrespectful by any means. I was hastling my friends to dance, and saying "dude if you don't wanna dance with her I will." speaking about their wives, girlfriends...whatever. Was I being serious? No. Would they do the same **** to me? Absolutely.

So, I'm standing outside, a little pissed off. And my buddies walk out. I ask one of them if they were pissed cause I danced with his wife for a half a second or so. He's like "nah"

His brother walks out (bitch that over reacts etc) and I ask him and he just pops off. So I call him on it. I told him if he wanted to be an adult come talk to me, don't run your mouth to the groom dude, etc.

At this point, my feelings are hurt and ****, it bothered me. It turned out being an ordeal, etc. And while I'm pissed I'm also apologizing, etc.

Now, was I in the wrong? I didn't say ANYTHING to these girls unless their guy was around. I didn'tdo ANYTHING inappropriate that I would be offended by if they were to dance with my fiance. I took it as clean fun, trying to get everyone relaxed enough to go have fun..

Should I have been the one apologizing? Lets not start the side fight, where my fiance accused me of being drunk and my best friend (groom) told her she was in the wrong for even saying that, and just throwing fuel onto the fire with me.

Was I drunk? Buzzed, close to drunk. Was I out of my mind drunk? Not until the dude pissed me off.

Honestly, I'm about ready to say **** all of my friends, if they can't be adults about ****, and seem to want to start some form of drama, etc..I'd rather just sit my happy *** at home on the weekends with a six pack.

At this point, I'm so tired of dealing with fighting and stupid ****.. if I decide to just..become a caveman.. and my fiance doesn't like it..she can leave. To me, if you can't realize that source of our fighting is due to our friends..then it isn't my issue anymore. I mean yea I care, but why should I continue to fight if someone cannot level with me.

To me, I'm back in school, eventually I'll make friends again. I'm almost 22, I'm tired of the fighting. Yea, I'm young, but to me, jail isn't fun anymore... the fighting isn't fun..at all.. so why continue to do it every so often. And on someones wedding? Give me a break. If you want to be pieces of ****, so be it. Don't throw me into your bullshit because you're an insecure ****.

Discuss, opinions, please.

^drunk post, maybe?

You will not get anything constructive out of me but seriously why not just dance with your chick? What was the big deal about dancing, why did everyone NEED to dance, why do you like to dance so much, why are you so emotional about this, why. I dont understand the point of this.

so the wedding was pretty weak because no one wanted to dance. You were obviously trying to be the party and in your eyes you were being the life of the party but in everyone elses they were prolly like "ahh **** here goes bakos again, **** our lives"

Hey every once in a while we end up being "that guy"

I wouldn't be trying to dance with my friend's girls, but that just me. (and becuase my girl wouldn't have it, she don't share.) The other guy probably overreacted, and shouldn't have made a deal of it at a friend's wedding. I wouldn't care if my friends danced with my girl, but they know better and keep thier happy *** sat down.

Bottom line, drama is for kids, not adults. Act like men. Don't become part of anything lesser than yourself.

Was the "bitch" aka brother, the bestman? Sounds like a little jealous deal was going on with the brother. You were the life of the party and everyone was wacthing you not the groom. As they say in the old days "You were stealing his Thunder" I don't know......... some people are just like that

Sometimes, you think you're doing the right thing but thats not the case. Life lesson learned...........?

don't invite bitch to any more events. I'm a dick about people chatting up my wife but if I'm around and they have the ***** and they're respectful about it, fair play to anyone with the courage.

It's never a question of if they can dance with your girl, it's a question of if they're respectful of your and the relationship that exists on both sides. If they're not retaliation should be immediate and devastating.

I thought this was man law. Did someone not get the damned memo?

<--Didnt.
OP, seems to me like you were encouraging everyone to lighten up and dance or something. Maybe the bitchy guy was jealous, or just an ***, who knows. But unfortunatly i cannot see from someone elses view, and it may have seemed from another view that you were making an *** out of yourself. Also who knows maybe they didnt appreciate your dancing. Dunno mang.

I was the best man. I wanted the bride to have as good a time as possible, and I knew she'd be upset if everyone just sat there and didn't dance or anything. Which was my reasoning for trying to get people to get up and have a good time.

I knew alot of people there. The girls I danced with, were my buddies wives, who all know me very well, and know my girl very well. They know my intentions are about fun. And no, I wasn't up against a chick grinding away. We were doing stupid stuff like...the running man, etc.

The people I didn't know, I was simply talking to, and introducing myself to. It's a social event, I was being a social person. That was all.

I guess I was upset mainly because what I didn't want was the drama **** at my buddies wedding, and, it happened, and I was a part of it.

I know how you feel in that situation, And I do not think you are wrong. I would've done the exact same thing.

I'm not sure how old you are but either way, a wedding is supposed to be fun, and if nobody dances its retarded.

Honestly, I see it from both sides. I agree with Stanger when he said "why couldn't you just dance with your girl" and "why did everyone have to dance". See, I'm a lazy *** and I don't dance and if someone's wedding is ******* lame, it's not my problem. I wouldn't take it upon myself to liven it up, but that's just me.

Then again, I really don't think you meant any harm, doesn't sound like you were being disrespectful from what you have told us and I honestly believe you were just trying to have fun and didn't mean to cause problems.

Almost sounds like your friends wanted to create this drama. If they are always like this, I think it would be wise for you to tell them to "**** off".
