Got into work Monday morning and saw an email from our VP of Northern Cali saying Mandatory meeting for everyone in my position. She gave no info. on what it was about. So we all go in and listen to what she has to say. There have been some people leaving recently to other healthcare organizations because the pay is better. Anyways, she announces that all of our salaries are increasing to compete with the market out there. She says they'll be sending out letters stating our increase. So for the past few days everyones be dying to know what the increase is. So instead of waiting for the letter, today I called HR and they told me my new salary. Holy crap I'm stoked. After the measly raise in April of 2%, I find out that my base salary just went up 22%. Couldn't be happier. Now I can get some debt paid off faster and continue the modding even more.

Sorry for the long rant, but I'm just excited.

 

That's sweet, I don't know what you make but a near 1/4 increase is just outstanding no matter what.

Thanks guys. I was shocked at the percentage. I was figuring 10%. It was a nice 15k per year jump up.

Wow man, congrats. I'd go for a 5% raise at this point.. Haven't had a raise in over 2 years.

 

Speaking of which I just got like a 40% increase (17k) in my pay lol. Went from contractor to GS 2210. Let us toast to our good luck/fortune. And I also am going to use this new found money to pay off my bills as well. Sucks doesnt it? lol.

 

Nice man, you just had to go and top me.haha. Mine was about 15k a year increase. Thankfully my wife got back into a permanent job that pays pretty well. So her credit card will be paid off pretty quickly and then I can pay what we owe her dad pretty quickly. I foresee car mods in the not so distant future and quite possibly a second car.

thats awesome, my wife goes for a interview on Friday morning and hopefully that pans out. We already know it wont pay anywhere near what she had been making, but if its more than UE that would be wonderful.
