The feeling KGB ia talking about is need for speed, and admit it or not I think the majority of us enjoy that feeling. I do, but only in short bursts. Once I start pushing the 100 mph range, I worry too much about what could go wrong, or getting a ticket.

If I knew I could get away with it on every open stretch of highway, with no other vehicles in sight, I'd be pushing past 100 mph all the time.. just feeling that power is very invigorating..

I went 168 mph in a nascar ride along at daytona. My God just the g-forces from the banking made my stomach drop to my knees. I always thought I could drive in a nascar race, but after that... No way. I'd be done in 3 laps if I lasted that long or if I didn't hit the wall on the 1st turn.. The dude driving got her loose a few times and I was bout to **** myself..

Ok..few things... 176 is a bit quick for an R6, although I do know they'll go around 160ish..

This your first bike? If so..don't be suprised when you lay it down, and I pray that you won't be hauling ***... piles of flesh and bone aren't fun to see on the highway, and aren't fun to be, period.

I'm not going to nag you about going this fast.. when you have a crotch rocket..every now and then you will.. if someone is going to act like they have never broken the speed limit on this site, they are hypocrites. Sorry, guys, but you've got a modified car, that you drive on the street, don't lie to me and tell me you don't open it up..and 65mph hits alot quicker then what some people are willing to say.

Just be careful on those roads, I've lost quite a few friends on bikes, I know more then a handful that have seriously injured themselves, and I know from personal experience how much trouble they'll get you in..

Exactly, but I'm guessing just under 160
Typically bikes are off atleast 10%

On a bike it's pretty damn easy to get up to speed.

E-bay would probably be the cheapest. I can't tell ya what one to get because I don't like Honda's, nor do I ride/drive them or know anything about them. Speedo Healer will fix and make your speeds more acurate. Your speed is only off when you get past a certain speed, otherwise the legal speed limit will not be off.
Bikes are set up to have the correct speed, until you get past a certain speed mark.

Yeah I noticed that after I left, I was just to lazy to go back and correct it.
I got mixed up because I was on the phone with my friend talking about his CBR. Actually I think I was supposed to tell him that instead of typing. haha
and it's "RIDE". :P

stop saying the speedo is only off AFTER a certain mph. You are wrong. The speedo is off from the beginning and the error gets worse as speed increases.

Yamaha FTW.

I've only done 138 on mine...but I have taken a left handed sweeper (prob120 degrees) at about 110 miles per hour...about 1/2 an inch away from dragging knee. picked it up because I had no knee pucks and didnt feel like burning a hole through my jeans and knee caps. trust me i've drug knee with no pucks and I have scars...painful reminder.

anyway, leaning a bike at 110, hanging off the bike..pretty much able to french kiss the ground..that **** is the most incredible adrenaline pumping feeling in the world. straight line speed just can't compare.
