Default Went for a test drive today....

Stopped by the local Ford Dealership today and test drove the 2011 V6. I wanted to drive the 5.0 but.... they only had one in stock and not even the salesman were allowed to drive it. So it was a no go.

As for as the v6 goes it has some good power. The 6 speed auto really makes a difference. Not sure how to explain it but it accelerates a whole lot better because of the 6 speed. The exhaust note it is a lot better than the past v6's. It was really quite tough to go back to my slow *** v6.

All in all I could see myself buying a v6 but would much rather buy the 5.0.

Well, with the power the new v6 makes, it would be pretty easy to settle with. Haha. Wish I could afford one.

I know it's early to tell, but does anyone know how the 5.0 and 11 V6 respond to bolt-ons?

When you go to the dealership, do you tell them you want to drive it? Because I've never been asked if I want to drive one.

well for me it was a little different. I went to the dealership that I had worked at for the past 3 summers so they all knew me really well. So I was straight up able to tell them i wanted to drive one with no intention of buying one.

So you did get to drive it! That's awesome! I'd rather drive the 5.0, too, but the V6 ain't too damn shabby. Did you get on it any?

I wanna drive the 2009 and 2010 model V6's and GT's. I wanna see all 4 compare. Ford's entire line up is really starting to have some awesome improvements.

I've read some articles bout the 2011 V-6 stang, and the new 5.O GT. Very promising in the performance dept. But. V-6 is claiming 300+ HP, plus 31 MPG. You can't use those in the same sentence. If you want to achieve 31 MPG you gotta drive it without any lead in the foot. and get to 6th gear as soon as possible.

Gas prices aren't that bad to let that be a factor if you want good ole dead stop Torque from a dig. 2011 torgue is at like 290. Hell 03 and 04 GT bone stock is 305.

I'd love to drive the new 2011 GT though. 412 hp, plus 390 torque. That's gotta put you back in the seat enough for an enjoyable Sunday drive.

And talking, Stock, not modding the car with turbo's and NOS and stuff. The streets aren't ******* dragstrips, unless you got a nice straight road with lights every 1/4 mile.

It's getting hard to spot them too around here, They drive unmarked Chargers and Crown Vics too. I used to be good at spotting the Crown Vics. But there are lots of people driving Chargers. I gotta get a radar detector soon. Hell I'm scared to even jump on it at all anymore..

I went to my dealership yesterday and the guy didn't even think twice about letting me test drive the 5.0. And it was a manual and usually I get the whole "do you know how to even drive a stick" remark, he didn't even ask haha. It was an awesome ride!
