oh he's definitely done.

'White said it was time for Liddell to retire.

“I hope he agrees,” he said, “and I don’t think he won’t.” '

That is all you will see of Chuck, that was his last contract fight and no way he would go anywhere else. What about Cro Cop with a rear naked choke? I was shocked to say least.

Anyone see the fight last nite? I bet no one expected that outcome.

Keith Jardine has also been dismissed from the UFC.

It was strikeforce fights.... Fedor Emelianenko and Fabricio Werdum. Fedor tapped about 60 secs into the first round.

Fedors only losses are submissions, I believe..
Ill be impressed when someone knocks him out.
And btw, fedor came back and beat the last 3 people that beat him.
Fabricio does have a some-what impressive record, Ill give him that.

Fedor has 1 loss that was in a tournament where he got cut by an illegal hit..but someone had to win and advance, Fedor couldn't.

He has a NC when he fought Antonia Noguera due to an accidental headbut.

This fight was something impressive by Werdum. The guy is a badass in Jiu Jitsu and proved it, he got rocked, hit the ground, Fedor pounced, and fell into Werdum's strength. Fedor made a mistake.

He's got one fight left on his contract..hopefully he'll come back after though.

It was crazy because when he pounced he landed on Werdum in just the right position to get fucked up lol...

I guess now we'll see if Dana White still wants to pursue getting Fedor in a contract with the UFC after what happens with Lesnar and Carwin....

Picking Carwin to win by knockout by the way

Thats like one of the sketchiest things to do to a BJJ, or JJ, fighter. Fall into their guard. Even when they're rocked. haha.

Im HOPING Carwin doesnt disappoint. I really dont think he will, though. Dudes a bamf.

Hmmm... Has anyone watched Bobby Lashley fight? If so what do you all think of this dude? You think he can get in the UFC now?

I think he'll be a big money cow if Dana White made a move for him

Lesbo vs Carwin should have been called in the first 30 seconds of that entire minute long beating. Lesbo wasnt even intelligently defending himself. Josh Rosenthal Needs to be shot......matter of fact, so does Herb Douche, and Yves Lavigne. Let Yamasaki, or McCarthy ref all the fights. They seem to actually know what they're doing.

Yea I thought for sure it was over in the first round but Rosenthal wouldn't stop the fight.

On a brighter note I really really like the Leben fight. Should get fight of the night

He was defending himself the entire time, granted he was taking hits to the head, he was still able to defend himself. A ref isn't going to call off a main event match (especially a championship) just because someone slipped up and ended up on the wrong side of a ground-n-pound.

I don't know if it was great defense because he actually looked like he wanted the ref to stop if for a second.

I'm not a Lesnar fan..by any means.. but.. the guy did defend himself, even kicked Carwin off once or twice..had his hands over his head intelligently ...yea..he caught some fists, and some elbows...that's ground and pound.

I actually respect the guy a little more now..he fought a legit fighter, took the punches (granted, a few of them weren't dead on, and if they were it would've been lights out) but he took them, he was on the defensive, he survived, and, he went to his roots, but, he didn't something I didn't expect, he SUBMITTED someone. Very suprising, IMO.

I was impressed by the comments made after the fight from him.. I do expect to see Carwin vs. Lesnar II, and I do believe Carwin will win the next time..

The guy gassed himself.. he'd never been out of the first round, hopefully, he'll train for 5 rounds next time. If he would've been in better shape for the extra rounds, he may have won it early in the second.

Lesnar himself said that he didn't know where he was for a while when he was on the floor...

He did win the fight but I don't like him anymore...

Don't let me down Cain Velasquez

I also think Carwin exposed a weakness in Brock. Brock is like a fish out of water when someone pressures him with punches. He had no idea what in the hell to do.

Lesnar is a **** talking, no technique, no skill having bitch. He doesnt deserve to fight in the UFC until he earns a belt or ranking in some sort of martial art.

Why? When did Randy Couture have a ranking in a martial art? When did Chuck Lidell? Matt Hughs? List can continue...

The guys were (for the most part) wrestlers and fairly decent boxers.. not Abu Dabi jiu jitsu champs or 3rd degree blackbelts in anything...

We've seen it clearly doesn't take a black belt in a martial art to be successful in this sport. Not going to say it doesn't help you.

I don't agree how Lesnar fought...2-3 fights as a up and coming fighter, and was thrown into title contention like that..but it was a good marketing tactic, let's face it, the UFC is a business, they don't care who should RIGHTFULLY get shots, as much as they care about making money.

Dan Henderson as an example. Should have been Henderson vs Silva II, but, nope.

Another example: Shane Carwin wins 12 fights straight, in dominant fashion, and wasn't given the opportunity until now.

I really thought the fight was over when Carwin had knocked him down, but i think it was a good non stoppage. i wish Carwin had won though

Alllright..Brock Lesnar is defending his title again. This time against a formidable Cain Valasquez.

Cain is a great fighter with incredible heart and unmatched endurance.

but.

Brock Lesnar, IMO, is looking astounding. He looks like a machine. Obviously in the best shape of his career and now with more experience and more endurance.

As cool as it would be for Cain to win this fight, I wouldn't bet against Brock.

Thoughts?
