Default 1995 GT vs. 2007 V6

Hey all. So my cocky friend just got another Mustang since he totalled his last one in a 6 car pile-up because he wasn't paying attention on the highway.

Anyways when I got my car, I had no choice but to get an auto which I am fine with. My friend is one of those guys that is crazy cocky and thinks that since he has a manual, he has the best car in the world and that I need to spend the money on a tranny swap.

To the good part. Who would win? My 1995 GT Vert with o/r H-pipe, flowmasters, CAI, pullies, and performance tires on an auto tranny, or his 2007 V6 5-speed with his shitty shiftinga(no joke, he jerks the car. it's rough), all-season tires, but he does have TCS.

We haven't been able to test this yet but I want people's opinions.

Boy that's tough.... It would be fairly close, but I think the GT would get it depending on just how bad of a driver your "buddy" is.. Plus all of the added weight that the '07 has, but he would have an advantage with the manual trans, much less drivetrain loss.

Really would come down to a Drivers' race I think, it would be pretty close if they were heads up with good drivers.

I think it would be a pretty good race. But since this guy sounds like a crappy driver i think you would win. I picked pretty fair race though. Go kick some but man.

I find it to be a tough call..

My friend has an 86 5.0, and i feel like my car has soo much more ability to move than his, but his has soo much torque that the car never bogs going up hills, but it just doesnt catch speed like mine does.

I'm in the middle but leaning more twoards your car.

He should know that by you revving it beside of his 4.0.. XD

You will win. Considering his shitty driving you might want to do it at the track.

I believe it would be a pretty fair race. but i chose the 95 on the poll cause im biased haha. i hate people who think they are good drivers when they arent...

gt, 500lbs lighter, big torque on the bottom end. He'll win at the launch. If they take it very far the v6 might catch up but that's after the 1/4 mile has done ended.
