Default daily drivers

just wondering, who here has a daily driver (not the mustang they drive in summer, like BS's
'Spooky', for example), and how old is it?

myself, i own a 1987 chevrolet Celebrity, 200,000 miles, and runs just fine (since i fixed it this morning). it has bad body roll, but it soaks bumps like a cadillac. cost me 350 bucks.

(and probably 200 bucks in repairs)

My dad just got a 95 BMW 318i, so he handed his other car down to me. I drive his 1994 Toyota Camry. Miles are somewhere around 270,000 right now. Running strong, but its always hungry for oil. Im glad I have this down at school, my mustang would take a beating driving to school.

I have my 1995 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 that's a daily driver, I've had it for like 2 years and got it at 80k. I have like 103k now and still running strong and all the **** I put it through.

I had a 1990 Geo Metro that was NEVER maintained and it ran perfectly fine, not sure how many miles are on it. I was being a dumb*** one day and just wrecked it.
I've had it for a few years and NEVER maintained it, nor did my Cousins who had it before me and than when my mother had it (well not completely sure about her).

I have a 2004 Dodge Durango Limited that I got roughly around 5 years ago with 24k miles and now has 55k miles. It's never been maintained and still runs great. It has been beaten to **** as well.

I've went through a few, 86 and 84 bronco II's (i really miss those). 96 lumina (I hate that car, its was just a pain in the ***)... now I have my younger brother's 00 explorer Eddie Bauer because he needed mileage to get to his college. In the summer it's all mustang though, unless i go to the dragstrip.

I would completely agree if i lived farther south... my car couldn't make it up the hills in the winter... then again neither could the lumina i drove last year

Meh, plenty of people drive their mustangs in the snow. The only thing I'd be worried about is the salt.

I drove my car in the snow 1 or 2 times and it was fun. However there were times it wasnt controllable coming off hills due to ABS not letting me brake and sliding sideways..

I did have HTR+ all seasons on, with HTR Z I's in the front.

As for my DD, I got a 98 s10 with 120k miles on it for 1300 bucks. 4 cylinder 5 speed in tip top shape mechanically, and it looks so so externally. It rapes my car in gas mileage because i cant seem to get more than 240 miles to a tank in my car. and my truck gets 200 miles to 20 dollars at 2.65a gallon.

The best thing about my truck is the headlights, OMG i cant see crap in my car. And I hate to get my car dirty, and I hate people bumping it in parking lots, and alot of people dont like me here so I dont want it keyed. and its not comfortable on the highway..

All in all I love my mustang if i dont drive it every day. I wish i didnt care for it.

He wasn't talking about that..

He mean't why people hate getting salt on their cars.

Its nasty and ugly. Strips wax. And it rusts the **** out of your frame if you don't keep it washed off. Its BAD stuff.

I know what Pcola meant.

Salt and rust...super common knowledge...salt melts snow, slightly less common knowledge... benefit of the doubt I guess.

It's cool that you used me for an example.

This is my DD:

P.S. The date on the picture is correct. I also think this is the first time 'Rooster' has made an appearance on these forums!
