Should I sell the Vstar and get a VMAX?

Should I sell the Vstar and get a VMAX?
Lets be serious you all know me well enough to know that I like to go fast. The Vstar is super fun to ride and gets great mpg, 44-50mpg, but its just not fast. Even with the mods I have done to it, its only a low to mid 13 second bike at best. The best it would trap is 101mph. That just doesn't cut for me. I think you all know I need something faster.
I have been really eying the new 09-10 Yamaha VMAX. 200hp cruiser that runs 10's stock....yeah I think that is right up my ally.
Should I sell the Vstar 1100 custom, get maybe $3K for it and get a ******* loan for a 09-10 Vmax which go for around $13-16k or should I shut the **** up and make the car faster? choices choices.......
I know some of you, well most of you, will think she is a ugly bitch. I don't care I love it.
Fast forward to 50sec mark.

I think its a pretty sweet bike actually...but 13 grand...hefty decision man. Id try to test drive one if i were you. And yeah for a bike to trap at 101 i would know how you feel. Id definatly wanna test drive a 13k investment though..and check ur insurance rates.

I will never ever own a Harley. The bikes and most of the owners are not for me. And how have you never heard of the VMAX. Its like the muscle cruiser of all muscle cruisers.

that's all I heard... get the bike.
Your car will never be that fast, it could, but you'd have to spend a whole lot more than $16k to make it that fast AND reliable. AND...you live in Florida..warm weather year round (usually) and a whole bunch of straight roads. Seems like a simple decision to me.
The Vmax is not a pretty machine, but, its a serious machine. If you get the carbon side scoop air intake thingys, the vmax looks worlds better. Get an aftermarket exhaust and you then have a decent looking serious machine.

TRUE. just cause you are not brave enough to ride a bike, doesnt mean you should dissuade Dustin from getting a different bike.
If you already ride, Ill retract the first part of what I just said.

The Yamaha VMAX and Harley VROD are very different animals. The VROD will not touch the Vmax even with a turbo kit on it. Sorry but Harleys are slow. You have to spend **** tons of money to make them fast. The Vmax is pushing 200hp. That will put the 3.8L v6 and some non-PI headed GT mustangs to shame. The VROD is only at 125hp.
Its not even a contest as to which is faster.
The thing is though if I happen to lose my job in the future this would have to be the first thing to go. And that thought frightens me right now with the job market the way it is. Its really the only reason I am not at the dealer right now getting a new one lol.

That bike looks pretty bad ***. I've never seen one before. If I were you I'd just go for it, but if you think you could possibly loose your job leave it where it is.
I'm trying to persuade my wife to let me get a bike. Hasn't worked so far... Gotta keep trying.
That harley is mean looking also... I like them both.

Michigan is about the worst state to own a bike beside alaska I would guess

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that.
As for the losing the job, its not that I am in danger its just that if I did lose my job it would have to be the first thing to go and I would not have a bike and that would kill me. Plus side of my Vstar1100 is that its paid off and no insurance on it since you don't need it in FL and its not worth much over $3k so why bother.
But I added up alot of performance mods and even if I did Cams, big bore kit with higher 10.8:1 compression pistons, and head work, I would only be at around 110-115rwhp. The Vmax is in the 180rwhp range stock....
