Default 2011 vs 2012

I recently decided to buy a 2011 Mustang GT next year around this time. It seems like a badass car and I want it. The only thing stopping me is I heard the 2012 version will have more upgrades to it. I was just wondering if anyone heard of these upgrades and are they worth waiting for? If they are substantial I'm just going to get the 2011 version.

i havent heared anything about 2012 being any different than 2011.

they may have a limited production run like a new mach, or a boss, but i havent heared any rumors about those either.

Havn't heard anything but you can almost bet with 100% certainty that they will improve something, bump HP, have a special edition something, it always happens with the Mustang. I'd also never buy a first year of production car off the lot, it is proven that they have more problems than the following years of production.

a special edition maybe, but they dont normally bump up HP each year for the standard production models... they go relativly unchanged except maybe an appearance package or the pro-active fix of known issues with the prior models

+1. The change from 05-09 was nothing other than an intake improvement. Which didn't help anything even though they stated it did, but they did fix problems with paint flaking, rattling, etc.

Don't buy a 2011. Just wait and see where it goes. If you get a couple of months into the production of the car and its still good then get it. Don't be like these guys that ordered the 2010 Camaros and had issues with paint flake, rust, drivetrain issues, rattling, bad battery terminal cables, the list goes on and on. Just be patient if you're going to seriously throw down that kind of money.

Yeah I was speaking in generalities, I doubt they bump HP from '11 to '12 also. I laugh at the people who bought a 2010 mustang. I don't know anyone personally that has bought one, but I would have pinned them to the floor to keep them away from the dealership.

Wait for 2012. Let them get all the bugs out in 2011.
