2012 V6 Engine Scaley

Hi all,
New to this forum.
I have just bought a 2012 Ford Mustang V6 and as I was checking it out, I noticed the outside of the engine has a lot of scaley type look to the engine block. Here are some pics. This normal? Anyone have this?

dont think anyone here has a 2012 stang. Id be taking that car back to the dealer since its clearly under warranty.
