Racing poll
Just thought I'd get a little fun poll going. If you guys raced someone and whether you won or lost, do you give a thumbs up, nod, or anything?
Raced a 05+ GT last night coming home from the gas station. I had just shifted into 3rd and he was already a good car length behind. Anyways, we get to the next light, I'm turning left, he's going straight, and he doesn't even look over at me.
What do you guys do?

If it's a good race from a dig then I will usually give some type of acknowledgment, a nod or wave. If it's an interstate or highway then I make the run and then ignore. I don't like racing on the streets so if I do then I try to not do anything that would cause any more of an issue. Last good race I had on the street was this past summer against some BMW, kiled it, and a later model WS6 that barely walked me (about 1.5 car length) about a year ago before that.

Last night coming home from work I was driving the normal highway when I saw a nice GT ahead of me that I could "hear' had some work.
As I gassed it trying to get through traffic and get closer I noticed a DSG Cobra (looked amazing) next to it.
So I ran up on them , now the GT was right beside the Cobra. We all turned left onto the three line highway, pulled into a straight line did the nice three honks and had a little Ford battle.
I pulled away at first because I was at about 4500 in 2nd gear (great powerband with 4:10s) but after the Cobra hit it's powerband he pulled and kept about 4-5 cars ahead along with the other GT.
Turns out the GT was procharged (very little boost around 5psi if I was to guess).
So we did about two more runs after that too lol.
Pretty cool to run up on people you don't know, yet you all know what each other is thinking lol.
But we all stopped at a gas station and talked for a few minutes.

I don't go out looking for races on the street or anything, but once in a blue moon and the opportunity presents itself, I'll take it. Another funny thing though, the same night before I left the gas station, I was just finishing filling up. Another new edge gt pulls up to the pump right next to me. The guy has his chick in the car and they are both checking out my car as they pull up. I wait until the guy gets out and then I start mine. Just so he can here the nice whine an all. As I start pulling out, I notice his chick is still looking my way as I'm pulling at. Good times.

If I'm racing it's normally on an interstate, so I don't really bother to look back at the person. But I agree with what 08mustang_gt said, we all know what eachother is thinking. I don't see a point to nod or anything. I would if we both came to a stop, but that's never happened to me.

A chick riding in your car > a chick looking at your car.

I prefer driving by myself. I have a wife at home, and if she was in the car, I probably wouldn't have raced. Plus it's a better feeling when you know some other dudes chick is checking out you or your car. Blaze you will understand this one day when you have a sexier car than mine. haha
Yellow + Convertible + Mustang = Girls falling in love with your car.
Either that, or the previous owner had a ***** magnet installed somewhere, and I didn't know about it..

Ha, I don't know, man. Every time one of my girlfriend's friends finds out that I drive the yellow convertible Mustang in the parking lot at school, they die lol.

Black on black, plus sweet sounding exhaust with a nice whine under the hood trumps all.

I like when I can get to a light with almost any other car. From a dig a bone stock GT will pull away from most typical sports cars. ( if you time the light change good). I got the jump on a few vettes, and trans ams, until 3rd gear. then I give up cause there's already too much noise and it's looking too much like a drag race for the street, plus I'm usually looking at an *** whoopin by then. But I've seen the look on some vettes faces when we slow down. They seem to be amazed that a Mustang can yank some gears like that. LOL..

I'm pretty sure your talking about when you clearly hand them their *** and you slow down as to not break the speed limit too badly and 5 secs. later they go by and think they won. LOL. Fcking Honda drivers do that. If they see your brake lights come on, Then they lost, nuff said..
