Hey folks,
As some of you may or may not know, or just may not care, my car got hit a while back and im looking to replace my rear bumper.
Im trying to decide if i should go with a different style bumper or not.
Of course, if it has anything other than mustang i must get it filled in.
So what do you all think?

i dig the cobra bumper....get it filled and just get the mustang inserts and put them on the filled part...make it one of a kind....
o put up pics of the bumper smashed....we still dont know the damage.....u nvr posted that...or i dont think u did....i dunno

All i got is a crappy pic from my phone, but here it is....
I already got a new tail light, so that is covered.
As far as the damage to the bumper is concerned, it is hard to see in the pic, but it has been split right where it reaches the rear quarter panel and tail light. move to the right and below where the light has been cracked there are some small pits on the bumper where it got gauged, and it is scratched pretty badly.
As you go down from there to the left side of the bumper right near the corner are some good scratches as well.
All in all, it is gonna cost me quite a bit, i had a 500 bucks insurance deductable, and i dont want to drop 500 to get it fixed, but i have no choice i guess. But i might go ahead and get a new bumpre while im at it.
As it is now, with the broken tail light, unless you know it is there it is pretty easy to look past it. Once i get my new tail light in and a new bumper put on, all i will have left is getting the quarter panel fixed and re-painted which im sure isnt going to be cheap. So im just kinda going a part at a time.

slapster, don't get a new rear if you arent gonna get a new front. It just dont look right unless you got the front bumper to match
saleen rear - too dramatic. Lotsa scoops, slants, and marks. and for a car with no wing and stock rims, would not look good at all
roush bumper - which roush bumper? One rear was made for side exhaust, and the other looks identical to stock GT. again, not a good choice
Cobra bumper - for the money of bumper, paint, and fill, is NOT worth it considering the stock front bumper and rims. If you got a cobra front, then I'd say go for it, but for just the rear...don't even.
Any other bumper just looks weird so for now, just stick to stock GT.

holy cow! i just noticed an overwhelming vote count for cobra, but you also gotta remember the 2 things that go with that cobra rear bumper...
4v engine with a supercharger...
fat cobra lettering.
You'd be ridding it of the 2 things that make it look so freakin awesome.
