Default I got a new phone..... Finally

Is it special.............................No
Is it smart..............................No
can it do anything super cool......No

It's the Samsung Intensity

I like it cause I didn't have to pay anything for it which is nice and it's alot better than the Razor that I have been using for the last few years.

I know lots of you guys have Iphones and smart phones and all that stuff but I really don't need the internet in the palm of my hand

And if for some reason I ever did have it from that point on I wouldn't be able to live without it.

What I really like about the phone is that it is compatible with up to a 16gb microsd. I have a 8gb one on it's way to me in the mail. I never got an Ipod or Zoon so this is my first mobile music device since the cd player and I love that it syncs with my computer to copy my songs (yes little things make me happy)

Glad you got something that works! Not everyone needs a smartphone! And it plays music. You're set! Congrats

Glad ya got what ya needed there!

Myself on the other hand, I decided to jump from AT&T and go with Sprint. Next month I plan on getting a Palm Pre for me berfday.

One funny thing for me though, Up untill a year or 3 ago, cars didnt come with the now common ports to plug in your mp3 player. I never did understand how the damn things became SO popular. Or even the mp3 playing phones too for that matter. My phone does it and I have had it for 3 years or more and I never did put any music on it. The only explanition that I could ever come up with is that not everyone has a car and drives their self everyday. There are MILLIONS off peeps in places like New York that walk and use the subways for daily transportation. Just some of my random bullshit thoughts is all. LOL

I gotta a Track Phone. All it does is act like cell phone. dammit. But all I need it for is calling someone. When I'm at work I have computer, but no free time to play on it. I've fired 2 people in the last month because, instead of working, they're texting. Go home and text all you want... At work, be working unless you're on your 10 min break..

I wish my Palm Centro had wifi on it. Someone needs to make an SD card for it with Wifi built in like they did for the Treo and Tungsten.

AT&T does suck, but Sprint is definitely not any better.

T-Mobile is horrible in my area. Verizon is really the way to go around here. I had Alltel and got sucked up into the merge.

I have a Blackberry Storm, because of work, some emails have to be reacted on immediately, and it keeps me out of trouble when I don't feel like sitting in the office all day. However, I absolutely hate the cell phone culture. I threw my wife's cell phone out of the window of my moving car because on a 4 hour trip, she talked the entire way to her friends, and annoyed me. So on the way back, she started talking again, and after about an hour, I couldn't take it anymore. Out the window at 75mph it went.

I also snapped my teenage son's cellphone in half because I warned him once about answering it or texting while we were eating out. 3 minutes later, he got a text, and started answering it, so it also died a premature death.

Nothing pisses me off more than someone talking on the cell phone while you're out to eat. If someone with me does it, I'll get up and move tables, since they obviously would rather talk to whoever's on the phone than talk to me, or eat their food. I'd rather eat alone.

I've had Sprint since i was 15. I haven't really had any problems with them, and I used to drive big trucks, and very rarely was without signal around the country.

My neighbor has T-Mobile, and can't even use the phone at her house. My cousin has AT&T, and he can't even get 3G coverage at my house. I have Verizon, and always have full bars at home, and I always have 1XEV coverage, which is the 3G network from Verizon.

I guess different companies put their money in different markets, so that they can dominate that area.

Do NOT get the Palm Pre!!!! My ex works for sprint and they get all the new phones to play with before they're available. She said that phone has a very cheap feel to it, will break the first time you drop it, and was WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY overhyped. Not worth the money at ALL. Wait for the Samsung Instinct HD, InstinctQ (aka Samsung Moment), or Samsung Dash.

Yeah I can agree wih the cheap feel part, a friend of mine at work has one and I was sitting in the break room cheaking it out and I noticed the "slider" on it was just a TAD bit loose where it would wiggle from side to side. I commented on that to him and he was like "Yeah thats from the 3 or 4 times that I'v droped it, it wasnt like that when I got it"

On the flip side though I have been looking at the HTC Hero too, but I just dont like the virtual keyboard thing. I would MUCH rather have a real keyboard. That and a couple other minor things swayed me to decide on the Pre.

I like my palm phone alot, and now that I have one its most likely what I am going to stick with. Has all my dates and appointments saved in it and reminds me stupid things I need to do. Can't beat it.

Yeah they did indeed fail for the most part, but the good thing is is that everything is in the pipe line to be fixed. I mean it is INSANE that you make such a high tech device that CANT forward texts and emails. Thats one fix thats comming. . . . that and video recording from what I have read. Another screw up is there is only like 256mb or maybe its 512 used to store apps wich caps the ammount you can have at once.

Now one mess up that they CANT fix with a downloaded update is the lack of removable storage. But thats not an issue with me though. Iv got 80 gigs total on this dinosoar of a laptop and I think I only have like 10 or 11 gigs used with my music and other crap.
