I'd been hunting bunnies and squirrels back in the spring (killed a pickup load), got 2 turkeys a few weeks ago, looking for wild pigs lately with little success, about to do a fishing trip in Oregon next week and then doing a week long walk-in deer and bear hunt in the Trinity national forest in September.

I go out back and hunt deer. My uncle got me into deer hunting when I was 11. If im in a field I use a Remington 270. In the woods I use a 12 guage with a rifled barrel that shoots 3" slugs. Ill be out there duck hunting when the time comes. Some of my friends are big into turkey hunting tho ive never been.

Turkey is a lot of fun to call in, almost as much fun as predator calling but they're not a damn bit of fun to stalk. I've walked right up on them every time I've encountered them in the wild... usually it's easy enough to just throw a rock at one rather than shoot it.

Ha!! Now that would be intense. Kill a turkey with a slingshot. Atleast you wouldnt have to worry about messing the meat up.

I'll be hunting for poooooooontang! LOL....I'm kidding. No hunting this year. Haven't done much hunting since I left Redding, CA 11 years ago. We used to shoot the hell out of ground squirrels, which I really enjoyed. I liked Dove and Quail hunting as well. Never really cared for deer hunting cause it was too much work once you killed one.

picked up my dad's old deer gun for this year. Browning BLR Lightning in .270. 130gr softpoints at 3060fps should make for a nice flat shooter.
