There's a long history behind the initials GT. in the past,anything branded with GT meant it was used, as stated, for "grand(or gran) touring" basically meaning it was kinda of the aftermarket version of today's cars. Like, if roush or saleen were in existence in the mid 1900's, they would brand their cars, GT. I dont remember the rest of the history, but you can google it.
