im glad hes finally gone and i agree with jack. he was warned. failed to take him serious, so ban. im sure he is a cool dude in person and i mostly lurk the forums and occasionally post but reading his **** is annoying

 

i dont know him personally, but i do talk to him online and yes, he may be a jackass but you can easily differentiate between him ******* around and him try to insult.

 

Evan, I like you and you are someone who I value on this forum because I find you to be intelligent, insightful, opinionated in a good way, and generally an all around honest dude. But I think you are missing the point, here.

I do understand that he has been given many chances, and that is fine. I understand that Stephen isn't the best poster we have and never will be. I understand other people's feelings towards him because I see it just as well as you do. But do not tell me there is no other reason except for the fact that we know him outside of the forum that he hasn't been permanently banned. Spike is not the only mod on here and I don't think he has the power to ban anymore. Trust me, if Stephen deserved it, Dustin would understand, too.



The issue isn't about who likes Stephen and who doesn't. It isn't about what he or anyone else contributes to the forums. The issue is about a member being banned for something that some of us don't feel is worthy of a permanent ban.

All bullshit aside, I don't give a damn if he's my friend. Forget I even mentioned that. This is just pure wrong, no matter who it is. I'd stand up for you, Pee, King, Badfish, (just giving examples) or anyone else who had this happen to them whether I liked them or not so make no mistake about my reason for defending Stephen.

Stephen deserves fairness. Everyone does. Like I said, if he had said something that without question deserved a ban, I'd be right next to you. I'd say something like 'he's my friend, but he fucked up'. But this time, he didn't and because of that reason, it isn't fair.

If you don't think I'm being honest about everything I'm saying, you are completely and totally wrong.

I dont have any personal grudge against stephen other than i think he is a disrespectful idiot. I know that sounds contradictive, but there are several people on here who i think are idiots and im fine with them, because they know how to shut the assholery off, and treat eachother with respect.

How many warnings should he get? He was given multiple warnings, several t-bans, and now i gave him a Pban because the first thing he did when he came back was to be disrespectful.

should he have a 2nch chance on his last chance? And when he blows that, how about a 2nd chance on his 3rd chance on his last chance? does that even make any sence? I dont hate the guy, and i was fine with him coming back, untill he showed how little he planned to change his behavior.

This is not a "oh jack just got butthurt and decided to ban somebody" this is somone who only has had REPEADED warnings, Who has already been banned before with a Tban, then got ANOTHER T ban, had one last chance to come back, and the only reason he had a chance to come back is because i issued a 30 day ban, there are several other moderators who reccommended a P-ban last time.

You are all just no getting the picture, i have had probably a dozen members who have asked me to have him tone down his crap. he has constantly put our racist, sexist and unbelieveavly vulgar posts. This place is NOT restricted to people of 21, we DO have underage posters, and while i know i drop an fbomb here and there... and there.. and here.. and there.. ****, there goes another one, ... making comments about how a certain part of a womans anotomy hangs like a "wizards sleeve" and statements like 'I hate ****" and other various racial statements reallly dont belong here.

yes, people make statements, people say dumb things on here from time to time, but they know when to draw the line.

He has been recieving complains since he first started on here, he has consistantly showed zero respect for this place or its posters.

I dont have a problem with Stephen, I have no more feelings of approval or disapproval as i do to a some idioot in china, but i do care about this place and i dont like to see constant displays of disrespect to this forum boards or its members. We need members who will not only be informative and insightful, but also prodcutive and respectful, and we have a LOT of that, but when a potential new poster comes in and all he sees is the crap stephen spouts out, they probably wont stay.

I have no problems with anyone here, really. I mean there are a few people that I don't really care for, but that's life. You just have to ignore and move on.

I know you're at a bit of a disadvantage, having not been here as long as some of us have been, but trust me.. (I originally signed up here in April 2005) Stephen was treated above and beyond "fairly." This is where I have to disagree with you, he was given preferential treatment because he's friends with you guys and you all agreed (past tense) that he doesn't act the same way in person. I have seen countless numbers of people banned from this place in the past, none of them have had nearly as much of an opportunity to prove their competence as Stephen has.

Honestly.. Let me ask you. Have you ever seen him post anything useful? The guy seems to have the intellect of a 12 year old child, the kind of kid that still thinks boob jokes are funny... Truthfully, the exact opposite of a person I could see you calling a friend, more like the kind of person you'd try to run over in your car.

honestly, i think that we should just put the stephen matter behind us and just leave it be. whats done is done and it cannot be undone.

i may not be happy with the decision, jack has all the power to ban stephen and stephen was on his last toe. he had so many chances to tone it down and he didnt. it was really only a matter of time till he got banned.

i post on a few other forums and Stephen would have been ban on all of them, he had his chance if this place keeps letting him come back they should just bring back mixedbreed.
