Getting tired of your Mustang...

...it has to happen eventually right?

I had my v6 for 2 years and then I sold.
I've had my GT for 1.5 and am trying to sell it to buy a 99/01 Cobra.

When does this end?

(you can tell im sort of bored right now)

Lazerred6 03-24-2009 02:53 PM

03/04 cobra with an aftermarket whipple or KB and some other goodies

Lazerred6 03-24-2009 02:55 PM

though I really like the look of the 2010 gt500 you can call me crazy but I think that car is sex

3.8for the win 03-24-2009 02:59 PM

the 2010 GT500 is one of the best looking mustang imo.

3.8LMustang 03-24-2009 03:00 PM

nope ive never thought of selling my v6 mustang, too much money has gone into it for me to just sell it

3.8for the win 03-24-2009 03:08 PM

i had mine for 2 years and had a blast with it, but after driving my moms charger R/T i had to get a car with more power.

3.8for the win 03-24-2009 03:52 PM

thats why my new car has a turbo and 300hp.:)

Right now, I am completely tired of my car. I don't even want to deal with it. I want the bakes on and I want to drive it.

But that aside, I got tired of my v6 mustang. I wanted the power and sound of a GT and I felt like I had taken the v6 as far as I wanted to go with it. I don't feel as limited with the GT, and have taken it farther in one year than I did with the v6 in three years.

Edit: I feel this needs a FML on it, because thats how I feel. I don't know if these rear cobra brakes are going to end up on the car or not yet.

Deathdiesel 03-24-2009 04:06 PM

Yea...i got my dick slapped down today as i went to pick up my car from a dealer...asshats at the dealer had my baby parked next to a 2008 gt500 with a cervini hood...it was orange w/ black stripes..And yes im most likely going to trade my car in for atleast a GT

PureStang 03-24-2009 04:17 PM

i have been bored with my stang for at least for teh last 6 months to a year.i put the new shocks and struts on thinking that it would change my mind but it didnt. after riding in my friends 350z and my other friends audi tt...my car just felt slow and not nimble.

but im honestly ready to try something else...something like a honda bike or something.. i really wish i could afford a terminator but i cant. but then again, i may regret selling the mustang and have sellers remorse. i dont know what the hell to do with the stang.

PistonsFan102 03-24-2009 04:19 PM

I think it is seriously an addiction lol.

But I think once I get my hands on a Cobra I will be cured? Maybe?

+1 on the 350z and honda, and the price for terminator..

Nope not tired of my mustang, or my v6. I'll push it as far as I can, either the motor, or my wallet. So far the motor gave out first.

Time for round #2. ;)

You go to cali you see them all..

GTs with Kenne Belles or Hellion Turbos

Cobras Z06 Corvettes hopped up Audis 350z's (which btw, suck, buddies 06 eclipse kept up with one and his clutch was going out, sad..) Evos running on cams/water meth ect.. Camaros that make the ground shake..Chargers.. Lamborginis Ford GTs and ect..

But varely rarely, do you see a v6 mustang that'll put down big power and good times, even if it is missing two cylinders. ;)

Dave04Mustang 03-24-2009 04:34 PM

Been sick of my car for a while now. Won't put any other money into it other than maintenance.

Im in the same boat I go through phases where im tired of the stang and then I fall in love with it all over again.

PureStang 03-24-2009 05:39 PM

i think im honestly getting tired of it cause i want a slightly lifted truck and a bike.

King 03-24-2009 05:42 PM

I'm kinda getting tired with the lines on the new edges, so I'm hoping to upgrade to one of the new Roush Stangs sometime in the next four years.

i actually think that the new edge has very nice lines..by far my favorite of any mustang. im just getting tire of having a car that is on such an old platform...i mean 79-04 chassis barely changed.

Leonide 03-24-2009 07:11 PM

i'm not getting tired of my mustang yet. :)

GDP 03-24-2009 07:41 PM

not even close at one year. Far too much to do to make it my own yet.

This sounds like someone that we know.. Seems like he posted on this forum... Wait, is your car yellow?.... :p

I don't know how you could ever get tired of a Mustang.. I can understand being tired of the Mustang that you have, but I think I'll always have one. Whether or not you stay with the same one forever, that's another story.

mustangrn 03-24-2009 07:59 PM

Still loving my stang!!!

JackThe Ripper 03-24-2009 08:05 PM

Go drive a beat up 1984 honda civic for 6 months straight and then tell me you are sick of your mustang.

Sorry, lol, i have no sympathy.

This thread is about as worthless to me as somebody saying "Ya know what? i think im tired of fucking Natalie Portman"

08mustang_gt 03-24-2009 08:10 PM

It's a matter of balance. Driving a mustang everyday makes you not like it, like a woman (no offense) but be around them ALL day and you get bored, which in turn makes the grass look EVEN better on the other side. From personal experience I'd never sell a stang once I got it. I still have my Termi, but I switch between it and the 08 and the '65 and I never get bored. You need more than just one vehicle to keep from getting bored. I have a bike and three mustangs and love them all just as much as I did before I ever bought any of them. Yes insurance is hefty, but it's better than getting shafted selling and rebuying cars over and over again. I will never sell any of the stangs until they've rusted away to hell.

HokieStang00 03-24-2009 08:12 PM

I'm kinda with Jack on this one. I keep thinking I'm ready to just sell it and go back to something simple that I don't spend money on and get 30 mpg...but I still can't make myself do it because I know I'll get bored without it. Or maybe it's because since it passed 100k I know I won't get shit for it lol

How do afford all of that? Unless you mean your family owns all those cars.

Deathdiesel 03-24-2009 08:33 PM
