Not a lot of people will. But I think it's a great deal. I could've gone out and payed $800 to get it directly from the manufacturer with the stock 18-55mm lens only, but I spent less and got so much more.

The camera I bought was $1500 with all the extras so you're coming out cheap in my point of view lol.
Is this your first DSLR King? I think it was you that's been waiting to get one for a while...
You'll love that camera....the HD movie feature is worth it for me, simply because I don't have a camcorder nor do I want to carry around both. When are you planning on getting it.

Whenever I get to the point in my photography that I've completely pushed my D60 to its limits and what's holding me back is the camera. So... probably in a year or so.

You do realize you could have gotten a D80 body for that price and it would have worked with your lenses right?
lol

The D60 will not hold you back for quite a while. More than anything your own skills are whats is going to hold you back as you learn more about your camera.
I plan on using my D40 untill the shutter ***** out then buy a D90
our cameras are rated for about 50k clicks per Nikon, so start shooting!

Yeah, it's funny how things change huh? I had a DSLR a while before I started worrying about money issues, so my money was already put into that. Then when I sold my D50 + my tax return I'm coming out ahead of where I started. So in a sense, I'm making some money back than what I had originally on the D50.
Anyway, no this is not my first DLSR...like I said I just sold my last one a D50. To be honest, I hated it with a passion. I was un-informed when I bought it, so the guy who sold it to me told me I was getting a different camera and like an idiot I did no research. My brother uses a Canon, so I figured I'd go to that. I was first thinking of upgrading to a D60, but when I heard about all of the non-af on af-s lenses and such I decided against it. And I know I could've got a D80 body at that price (or quite a bit cheaper), but I wasn't interested in a D80. First impressions mean a lot to me, and Nikon didn't quite live up to the hype I thought. Plus, had I not sold the D50 lenses I still wouldn't have had the money even with all of my income tax return to afford a D80 body. I thought this through, so no worries there. I figure lens wise I'm pretty much in the same position as the D50 minus the 50mm F/1.8 but at the same time I got a wide-angle and telephoto lens which is more along the lines of the lenses that I wanted than the 50mm.

If your brother uses canon then you might be better off with canon, you can swap lenses, get user advice, etc.
Good luck!
