Yes it will. The 550i has an almost identical horsepower (5 less), but only reaches that maximum torque at high rpms. The SHO reaches maximum torque at only 3500 RPM.

Its ashame that the 2010 Mustang has 315 hp. and the ******* Taurus has 365.

I'd take that as a family car any day. But that is a hefty price take for a Taurus. Even one with that much hp.

 

LOL...HP numbers and where they occur in the rpm range is not the only criteria that makes a car perform. I guarantee you that the BMW's chassis and suspension and brakes are far superior, thus making the 550i a better performing car. wonder which car weighs more.

 

I believe that they meant the Taurus outperforms the 550I in the area of "number of drink holders"

 

Thats the top of the line motor for that car. Compare that to the top of the line mustang and you have way more HP then it does. Its like comparing a CobaltSS to an Excursion.
