Default Could be selling the Mustang

OK...here is the deal.

My older brother is dying from cancer. He has just months left.

He is trying to get things in order, as you can imagine, and part of his challenge is to get rid of his Camaro Z28. He has a 1995 (though could be a 1993...details are still fuzzy). The car has less then 30k on it. It is not currently running since it has not been driven in 5+ years. The car is modified, but NA. I know it has ported heads and ran the 1/4 in 13 flat.

I have not seen the car in years. My brother is meticulous and the car has been well taken car of. BUT, I believe it would need the tank drained and there may be an exhaust leak. It probaby looks like it just drove off the lot save for chrome rims and a loud-*** exhaust (SLP from what I remember).

I am thinkng of getting rid of my Mustang so I can buy my brother's car. I don't need both, but I think I would like the Z28 for sentimental reasons and so my brother can see that it will stay in the family.

One of my other brothers want my stang. So, I need to come up with a fair price for both cars. Does anyone have thoughts?

I am thinking my car might be worth $12k and the camero worth $6k.

Sorry to hear about your brother that sucks. I had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago.

Down grading to an LT1 camaro, that's a bad swap if you ask me. But its your choice man I can see why you would want to keep the Camaro though I would let that other brother take that then get the LT1.

I understand that you'd want to keep the camaro. Sad to see the mustang go, but it seems the camaro is much more important!

If you want the camaro...go for it. I see how its important to you and could be a nice change...but your stang is built to the hilt...if it were mine id never get rid of it.

Personally, I would get the Camaro just because of your story. You can never get la car like that Camaro that will ever mean that much to you.

Sorry to hear about your brother WaterDR. Your family is in my prayers.

I cannot put into words how sorry I am for you and your family. I don't think there are ever any words to describe the loss (or upcoming loss) of a loved one.

In regards to the cars, if I were you, I'd sell the Mustang and keep the Camaro. Sell the Mustang to your other brother so you can keep an eye on it.

Good luck to you, man. Do what you feel is best.

Sorry to hear about your brother it would be nice to fix his car and take him out for a spin or start her up for him. My mom passed away at 50 from cancer and I know its tough. Most important is to spend as much time with him as possible and dont worry about treasures that you cant to take to heaven.
