Default Need your opinions. Im thinking about selling my mustang for.......

Okay, i have had my mustang since january 2002. My car is just about paid off and i feel that i need something newer or different. Im deployed to iraq right now and when i get back to the states i should have about $8K in my bank account. I was planning on selling my gt and getting a 03-04 mach 1, i dont want to spend more than 20k on it though. What im asking you guys is if i should just stick with my car and keep building off what i have? or should i move on to the mach 1 and have that 4 valve motor to build off of? i have recent pics but they are at home on the hardrive and i cant get to them. if you do a thread search on my name you can find the link to the pics of my mustang.

engine re-builds ususally take a while and i dont have a second car anymore. there are no good or known engine builders that live near me. the only other route for a built engine is a long block from some company. as of now i dont know any companies off hand that i can go through. i spend lots of time on the internet with no where to look, since i have no magazines to read out here i cant find any other websites or engine builders to look at for research. a 2.2 LT KB would be nice on top.

Id buy the Mach 1, but if you want to keep your car you could always turn it into a mach1 (shaker hood, side stripes, black spoiler, wheels and chin spoiler). Looks like youve spent alot of money on your car, itd be rough for me to part with a car ive put alot of time and money into.

Mach 1's are very sweet, I like them because you don't see them driving around everyday (at least I don't). If you don't want to build up your car then go that route. Or maybe an 03-04 cobra :drools:

Dude, get the Mach 1. It is the most well rounded Mustang in the stable (for the price). The all aluminum motor is unique to that car (not a Cobra 4v like many think). The car runs very low 13's from the get-go and all you can do is build on it.

i dont mean to hijack this thread but i've been thinking about doing a 4v swap for a while and i was wondering what is involved and about how much would it cost me? im getting ready to do cams in the near future so i might as well have it all done at the same time. i guess i should repost this in general tech or 2v tech, whoops.

ALOT...trust me i looked into it as well, if you want a 4v, its cheaper, and easier to buy a cobra engine

Mach 1's have the 4v, the bottom end isnt hand built like the cobra's is though.
