Default got reformat?

LOL.. I've been fighting a bug that I am tired of fighting last 2 weeks. I;ve been getting some DLL system errors for a few months now at start up. Hasn't been a problem. But now I cannot run a defrag, and most important I cannot restore my computer in, accessories, tools which usually gets rid of any problems that may have occurred prior to the restore date.

My browser ( no matter which one I use) is worthless, It just redirects me somewhere else or wont let explorer open up the link. This all started after a nasty e-mail I sent to some company that handles Spybot S&D. They tried to scam me I thought. 35 bucks for 3 yrs subscription to their services. Wasn't spybot but a 3rd party company. Plus I never agreed to the services, I cancelled it after I punched in my credit card info. Anyway they sent me a bad link and I raised hell and got my money back, but now my computer is doing crazy *** ****. I've tried 3 different spyware programs to no avail. Plus I've ran my virus scan several times but it will not let me update.

Well I bought a flash drive to save my pics, and movies, and music. And I'm gonna reformat this baby tomorrow morning..

Wish me luck, Anyway my hardrive was half full and it's a 230 GB, Lots o junk I didn't need anyway..

see what using windows gets you. LMK if you need help. I'm pretty good at these sorts of things.

just make sure you mark down what drivers you need (unless you have all the re-install disks that come with your computer) and you should have no problems. Its like getting a new computer all over again, its very exciting, lol.

pretty much. When mine crashed a year ago, I reformatted and all that jazz plus I added an external drive(I only connect when I manually back stuff up) and 2 additional gb of ram(total of 3gb) and I said dam it's cruising now. My computer is 4~ years old and runs like a champ.
I also did it to my parents computer, for the heck of making it quick again over thanksgiving break this year, and it is a huge improvement.

IF you can manage it, google "combofix" and download it. Then close everything else and run it. Most of the time it will fix any problems you have on your computer and will make it run noticable faster.

Reformatted this morning, had all the discs I needed for drivers and such. Came up pretty easy actually. Had to redo my outlook e-mail, But all in all it was worth it. I thought it would be harder and I was actually scared to hit the enter button to wipe out all my files. LOL.. But it was pretty easy, just reload all your disc's and update what you have to.. Plus no start up errors, and no hijacked browser..

Good to hear that it's working man. There's nothing more frustrating to me than a computer that's messed up.
