I was telling my girlfriend about this earlier today I was so exited, she didn't seem to share my enthusiasm. It's about time, although it will probably be a long time before I consider heads.

well i'm not very educated as far as the 2v, but since i'll probably buy one when i get older, what is the significance of these heads vs other performance heads?

We do not have aftermarket heads for the mod motors at all right now. All you have is Ported stock heads or the Ford SVO head but that's more for non PI motors.

So this will be the first aftermarket head for the modular motor. And it already flows more then ported heads do, and you can run larger cams on stock short blocks, and it takes both Romero and windsor valve covers, and has longer spark plug threads, and you can get more compression from the 38cc combustion chambers or stock rang with the other option of 44cc chambers.

Its a big day for the 2v guys.

Your thinking of old school 302/351 windsor covers I take it. If so thats wrong they are talking about the Windsor or Romero heads which is the two different places that made the 2v head. One has 13 bolt valve covers and one has 11 bolt valve covers. You can't use 302/351 valve covers on a modular motor.

Also they said the heads should cost the same as ported heads so look for a price around $1,300-1,600 the normal price for aftermarket heads.

no exact price stated yet but yeah the estimate above should be about right. If you send them an email you get put on the list and when they are available your in front to buy but you won't be obligated, so you can back down if the money isn't available at the moment

What kind of gains would be seen with just a set of these heads? Any ideas?

With the flow numbers its going to add even more power then ported heads. They say you can get to 370rwhp with these heads and aggressive cams using the smaller 38cc heads to get higher compression n/a. So yeah they will kick ***.
