Any run of the mill DSLR lens should be able to do that, the pics I took were with the 18-55mm stock D40 lens and a 70-200mm, just focus onto what you want to be sharp, it can automatically do the rest.

nice camera chris. you're gonna want some lenses in a bit. 18-55 sucks, and gets old after a while.

I have a friend who is a photographer and he said the exact same thing. lol

that is the good thing though, i can always upgrade later when i get bored.

You can mess with that or just get the lens lol. Heres a pic of my friends wedding. Its not at full resolution but you get the idea with portrait lens.
