Default Just applied for a new job.

my current job at Wegmans (a family owned grocery store based out of Rochester, NY) is great and i love it. It's just that the pay is not all that great for how long i have been working there (8.50 after 3 years of being with the company, and being one of the original Front End customer services reps since it opened) and my hours are getting cut cause they are over hiring younger kids that are in highschool (went from about 32 hrs to 22 hrs. a week). So i opted on getting a second job...and that place is.....

BEST BUY!!!

lol. i applied for a Car audio/security Installation Tech position. i know you guys hate bestbuy/circuit city audio tech..but the pay is a little better and the hours should be better. the nice thing about working for best buy is that i can transfer to the store at school where there are no wegmans for about 50 miles.

since i had installed my own system in 2 of my cars (taurus and mustang) and have installed about 5 others for friends and family, i figured that i would try to apply where i can actually get decent pay for it.

i guess if i get this job i will be MB's audio guru? lol

Thats cool, I have a few friends that work at Best Buy and enjoy it. I think the Install guys make decent bucks.

Good luck with the job. Its not all that bad of a place to work. Opportunities for better positions open up all the time because of new stores opening everywhere. I enjoy workin at best buy.

My friend is a supervisor at BBuy and he was telling me they are looking at getting rid of the car audio install. Can't remember why, but you might want to look into that. Then again, you don't plan on being there long term.

bay area prices are pretty exquisitely high but **** ... less than 10 bucks an hour and you can't even pay a car payment and insurance and still eat.
