He's in Kuwait right now and while he's there he's going to order an 09 Mustang, he wants silver..red interior..automatic

I was so excited about the news until I heard those 3 things, red interiors look like **** IMO, take that **** back to candy land.

and silver/automatic FTL, that means his wife can drive it, the poor car will be destroyed. And silver..why would you pick silver, if you could pick the color? I'd definitely go with vista blue or black over that.


He really likes the new bullitts, and with his nice military-in-kuwait discount he can pick that up for probably cheaper than what most people would pay for a GT. So I'm going to try to convince his wife to let him get a bullitt instead of a silver GT with a barbie doll interior.
it must be done.

 

Tell him he wants a Black 2004 GT automatic.

My friend could have gotten an Azure blue mach 1 for 18K but his mom said "44k miles not a chance", so instead he got a 2008 VW Rabbit for almost $20k.

They have money to spend, let me put it that way.

My last 4 cars were new, and the one thing i learned about new cars is they are complete ripoffs, they depreciate immediatly, might as well be throwing money away. But hey, if they can afford to throw money away that is thier perrogative. lol.....

on a 2009, spoiler or no spoiler? I'm trying to influence them on the options...so far I've said HIDs, which he's going to do for sure. Not sure he's convinced on the 3.55 gears or shaker 1000 system yet, though. lol

 

tell him to get the Glass roof option. I actually think a member on here has that option. he drives the vista blue mustang GT 2008 model.

 

I told my friend that, but he said his mom said she didn't like the glare or that it could fade the already gay red leather to pink. I told her it was tinted glass but no dice, price didnt help either I'll see what his dad says about it when he calls again tomorrow

 

no spoiler!! Better to have no holes and drill them later(if he ends up wanting a spoiler), then to have holes and be stuck with them. Convince him like no other to get vista blue!! that color is awesome.

 

its tinted and also has a retractable cover. Just like a sunroof. its only $1,500 extra. worth it in my opinion and cheaper than a convertible.

 

Yeah when or if I get a new GT i'd getting the spoiler delete option only because I plan on having an aftermarket one anyway. They make cool ones for the S197's lol.

and the member with the glass roof is 40thblckgt. Also, its the CDC roof kit, not OEM

As for options, he deff wants 3.55's if its going to be stock, HIDs, spoiler, upgraded polished bullitt rims (18's i believe). i actually like the red interior.

 

I'm trying to get him to NOT buy any optional wheels and just get some aftermarket ones, like the Cragar S/S's or something.

 

damn, how does he live with his wife? no stick, no glass roof, etc. doesnt she have her own damn car? She will probably be driving it more than him. if he's getting a great discount he might aswell order 2 for the price of a non-discount one would cost. one his way(stick, the f'ing glass roof and etc.) and her "barbie doll" one, might aswell get her a 6'er ahahahaha

 

then you have 2 more insurances to buy, 2 more gas payments, 2 more service bills to pay. dont underestimate the 05+ automatic. different strokes for different folks.

Todds (now Randys) interior was black with red accents.

The 05+'s come with fully red seats. Ugly.

 

I do love the interior on S197's though. Even the shifter looks bad ***.

Thats what happens when you get married. You can't just do whatever you want without talking with your wife. One day you will realize that when you have your own money.

 

My interior looks just like that, minus the floormats. I love the red seats. It's one of the many, many things that sold me on my GT. Not to mention I don't see too many like mine on the road (I think I've seen one besides mine), which is all the more reason for me to like it. I'd be bored to death with black seats. I get a lot of compliments on my interior. I haven't met anyone in person that doesn't like it, but to each his own.
