I don't see why they are needed....although lots of folks say they are a must. This hood fits so tight it doesn't move around like the OEM hood did.....but we'll see I guess :laughing5

Yes, I'vew heard of this happening too. Probably didn't have the latch lowered and properly adjusted. I've also heard of the OEM hoods flying up also.....I may go with pins but right now I hate the red-neck look of them...

LOL, I woulda gone 156mph instead of 155 mph if it werent for that damn fake scoop...hahahaha. I lke our hoods personally, and the fake scoops, but I also like the steeda and 00 Cobra R hoods. I just cant see putting 750 bucks into a hood, when thats something like full suspension.

just use dzuz fasteners instead of pins. i used to run a cowl lift off hood, held down by only 6 dzuz fasteners, but it still wasnt stable enough for normal highway driving.

I like stock v6 hoods they look very clean, only thing I would replace it with is a cobra hood.

Default boss

steeda hoods are made by a company called boss which also makes the cyberstallion and will be making the cobra r hood soon they are the absolute nicest hoods with a black gel coat reinforced hinges i mean there so reinforced with metal you would never have to worry bout them flyin off without hood pins. www.bossincstyle.com so if you get a cobra r get it there. :toothy10:
