Default ViS Carbon fiber hoods

are they paintable? i know alot of carbong fiber arent but i dont want to get it if its not

dude, natural c/f with clear over it looks amazing on DSG
look at lance's old 03 GT... amazing lookin car lol

I might agree, but on DSG... thats one of the exceptions ride there son

yea its between that carbon fiber hood or a cobra r hood and i dont really want the cabron fiber look but im thinking mite be worth the slight weight reduction so id just paint it

Get the CF one...they look hot on DSG, and black cars! All you need to do is get it clear coated and put a set of hood pins in and your set. I've seen a few in person and they look amazing. I put a friends CF cowl hood on my car to see how it looked...he almost didnt get it back from me!

The VIS hood's are already clear coated.

Lance, I know they come pre clear coated, but VIS themself recomends that you have it cleared again since it's such a thin coat. Our shop deals with them directly and is very close with the owners and they have always said to have it re-cleared prior to install.

I did'nt have it done and it looked awesome after being on there almost a year.If I would have kept the GT I was going to have it painted though.
