just got home from a race.....heres the story

i was at hooters after work today with my best friend. it was another friends birthday and some random came out and said, "i saw you pull in earlier. mustangs are slow as hell.....wanna go?" i said "*** you, what u in?" he replies with "toyota matrix" lol i said " ur on"

turns out its a trd matrix...w/e that is. anyways, i follow him to these residential streets and said....dude were gettin so booked. he says **** it lets go just once then. i said fine, but dont bitch for another when u loose. he says deal. anyways he lets his boys out and i got my best buddy in the car with me.... so he does the 3 honk thing, and were off.....instantly, i smoked him. he says i messed up lets go one more.....FINE! so i let my buddy outa the car at the finish line too....so now i got a cell fone video:P(ill post it tomorrow or when he gets it on his computer) so we went the second time and i beat him again. cops showed up and we just left....fun night and i made 50 bucks!

so like i said ill post the video soon as i get it for you guys.

Toyota matrix is the same as a pontiac vibe right? My friend tried to pass me in his and I wouldn't have it. He went by me going about 65 down a hill, at the bottom I accelerated and once it started inclining again I passed him going around 80.They're both auto's, it was slow and un-exciting, I read a book while accelerating.

But that was a long time ago, don't do that kind of stuff anymore. The guy's kind of annoying and thinks his vibe is a some kind of gift from god in the world of american cars.

lol better man is the better driver. as for street racing, the closest track takes 2 and a half hours to get to. and i dun think its open at 3 in the morning last time i checked........

trd has somethin like 140 hp and the mustang got what...180? or 190 cant member. so its not much of a difference in hp. keep in mind the mustang weighs somethin like 3200 lbs and he weighs 2600 i belive. ( all from google statistics:P) so in the end the newer engine also had a bit of an advantage. ull c when i get the video how largly the gap was at the end.

Or, according to some(i.e streetracer) Uninhabited areas. You say this race happened in a residential neighborhood. Not cool. Keep your illegal street racing to commercial zones that are empty at night. Stay alive and out of jail.

 

The WTF to streetracing is obligitory. But to not only say you have video of the race, you did it in a residential neighborhood, etc. Not only all that but to THEN say in a manual vs manual race the "better driver" would win? The whole 'who is a better driver thing' can be important. I myself have beaten cars I know I should not have taken whatsoever. Took a full bolt on mach1 on the highway (empty stretch). He must suck pretty hard(we talked later, I told him to get the car professionally dyno tuned, his diablochip must have fucked with his ****). But, it means nothing, because street races mean nothing!

I beat a a Dodge Charger with hemi in my Saturn SL1 once. I didn't tell them we were racing at all but I beat them off the line. I get almost as much bragging rights as this guy lol.

 

damn that must have been about as exciting as watching two rednecks race their riding lawn mowers. 130hp toyota matrix vs 160rwhp mustang.

 

And I beat a corvette Z06 just yesterday but no one was in it and it was parked...... Was a hell of a race though

 

never said i was proud, just happy i shut up another dam import. get urself a trd and a v6 mustang. run the 1/4 and see how big the difference in time is. thas potentially what ide be proud of. that im better then he is....isnt that the point of racing in the first place? (street or on a track?)

it was empty. if ur parked on the road past 2am then u get a tickit for it. so it was clear the whole way. just by some force of nature some old dude prolly called on us!

you can make any excuse you want, you can say how you are a safe driver, you can say that you checked for other people, you can site perfectly favorable conditions, you cannot however convince me that what you were doing was 100% safe. Its public streets, doesnt matter what time it was, anyone could be on it...pedestrians...its possible, you cant deny that. and JUST because of that...its not smart. and 50 bucks isnt worth it.

 

actually we did a few drive bys and checked to make sure no1 was out. dumb *** in the matrix tho kept squeelin his tires and thas prolly what woke some guys up. as for is it 100% safe.....is it 100% safe to do it at a track? 100% safe even gettin into a car at all?
